The party was awesome. Now came to the worrying part... the speeches. even thought I wasn't talking I was still nervous. Everyone went before Toby, he wanted to go last. The order went like this: Tim's dad, Iris, Tim, Toby. Tim's dads speech was the story of how first met them all. Then it came to Iris she began "well I've known Kit for as long as I can remember, and obviously I know Tim." Everyone laughed, she moved on "I remember when we were younger and we were playing together, Tim was out with mum and dad. I started asking you questions." I put my head in my hands at this, I knew what she was talking about. She carried on "they started off quite normal for example I asked 'what you had for breakfast? And I think you said you hadn't. But then they got weirder like 'so who do you fancy?' And u said you didn't but I knew you were lying so I questioned you more. then finally to top it off I finally guessed who you fancied and I remember shouting at the top of my lungs 'YOU LIKE MY BROTHER!!!'" We all burst out laughing at this, "then I remember going 'why do you like him he's stupid and weird!' You tried to defend him and I turned around and went 'he can't butter toast. And I swear you turned around and went 'well he's my stupid weirdo'" again we laugh, "anyway I just wanted to say how happy I am that your now part of my family.... if it did take you fourteen years to do so." and with that she sat down and we all clapped her. I could see Tim was shaking so I held his hand. He looked at me with a nervous look and I smiled back. He stood up "w..." he tried to start but was croaky so coughed. "well as you already know I'm not the best public speaker here and I'm not that good at writing speeches but here we go." he paused, "I think I can say on behalf of me and Kit how thankful we are of all of you, ur people who set it up, the people who made our clothing, the people who decorated the hall, but I think Kit especially is thankful to everyone, we gave her a home a family. She was worried that she might not have been accepted into the community but by golly has she. I'm so happy to now call her my wife. I couldn't ask for someone better, she's loving, caring, funny, adventurous, beautiful, MISCHIEVOUS, just downright amazing and I love her. without her I don't know what I'd do, she's my everything. I wish we could all know how she feels sometimes, what is like to..... see your species die..." he hesitates with the last part, "because then we can truly see how much it means to her to have a family, to be part of a family, to be part of a community. so to finish off my speech I'd like to make a toast." everyone picks up their glasses, "to the most beautiful person ever, to Kit." everyone cheer 'to Kit and clinks the glasses together. Tim sits down and hugs me, I didn't make it all the way through without crying, in fact I started crying when he thanked everyone. Then Toby stood up and brushed himself off... "well I've know, Tim for quite a while and Kit longer than you think. Kit is actually the reason I met Iris. I was confused as to why a spider kept riding past our village so one day I followed her. she led me straight to Iris. I'm so glad I followed her that one day. when we were and that s...school I was instantly friends with Tim and T...t...tom but I felt s bad atmosphere around him. then after like five years this new misfit joined the s...school only something told me to stay away from her, so I did. after that day we first spoke I was angry with myself for ignoring you. Then when we got t...taken and h...hurt I realised how much of a sister you were like, when you first hear me, when you healed me, when you gave me my powers. so I just want to say thanks and enjoy your happy lives together." I smile everyone claps. My heart begins to pound, my surprise is coming soon. I get really nervous. the band begin to play their songs. One song passes, then another, then another, two more songs and it's my surprise. One song....
