Sirius Black sat at the Gryffindor table with his friends watching as the classification ceremony was happening.
To say Sirius was nervous was an understatement. He was practically shaking. His parents already hated him enough for being a Gryffindor. What would happen if he was classified as anything other than a neutral?
Sirius sat there in silence when he heard his name being called. He stood up and walked towards Professor Mcgonagall who was holding a potion out for Sirius to take. Sirius took the potion hesitantly before downing it. He didn't feel any different but there was a soft pink glow around him, signifying that he was a little.
He stood there in shock and looked towards his friends who were watching with supportive gazes. Professor Mcgonagall led Sirius to the hospital wing where all newly classified littles were taken.
As soon as Sirius was sat down on a hospital bed he was in tears. His parents would surely kill him now.
Madame Pomfrey came over to him and patted his back gently before handing him another potion.
"It's a calming drought," she explained and watched as Sirius took the potion.
Five minutes later Sirius was completely calmed down and it looked like he hadn't been crying at all.
Madame Pomfrey brought him to another room where there were piles of blankets, baskets full of stuffed animals, and shelves stocked with different colored dummies.
Sirius looked around in awe, not sure where to start looking or if he should even look. He stood still not wanting to get in trouble even if all he was doing was breathing.
Madame Pomfrey gave him a light push, not too hard towards the blankets. Sirius ran his hand over one of the piles and found a fluffy scarlett red blanket with satin gold trim and the Gryffindor crest embroidered on one of the corners. He picked up the blanket and held it up to his face reveling in the feel of the softness against his face.
Sirius looked towards Madame Pomfrey as if making sure he was allowed to pick one and she gave an approving nod before leading him to the stuffed animals. Sirius looked into the baskets before finding a grey stuffed wolf and held it close to him. It reminded him of Remus.
He looked at the shelf of dummies and felt awkward. Madame Pomfrey saw this and picked a red dummy for him before leading him back over to the hospital bed where he sat down grateful to be out of the way.
