Third person

It was a cold, rainy evening as a 24-year old woman hurried through the streets of the town. A clock could be heard marking ten-thirty p.m. The woman, Y/n quickened her pace needing to be in the safe arms of her girlfriend, Taylor. Tears rushed down her face as she ran not daring to look back.

Five years ago she had been threatened by her parents to marry their friends son, if she hadn't she would've gotten disowned. She didn't love him- how could she? Her heart belonged to someone who she'd met about a year after the marriage. Taylor. Even the thought of Taylor made y/n smile. Now she just had to get to her.

A few minutes later y/n had reached Taylor's street, at this point desperate for cuddles. She slowly reached her hand out and rang the doorbell.

Y/n POV

I waited about 20 seconds till I rang it again. Panic began to take over me and tears returned to my face. What if she wasn't here? What if she was in bed? What if- My thoughts were interrupted when the door opened revealing a tired looking Taylor in pyjamas. The tired look in her eyes disappeared when she saw me, tears streaming down my face.

"Baby, what's wrong?" she whispered the concern on her face growing. She took my hand in hers taking away my pain for a split second but I could still feel the throbbing where he'd put his hand on me. I couldn't keep my emotions contained any more and stepped inside burying my face in her chest and when I felt her arms wrap around me I let the tears fall. "Shh babe, c'mon tell me what's wrong" she coaxed while nudging the door shut with her foot and leading me into her house and to a chair.

I sobbed into her pyjama top for a few minutes before finally opening up to her. "I- I can't do it a-anymore Tay, I can't stay in my marriage" I stammered looking up at her. She began to rub circles on my back whispering sweet nothings in my ear and pulling me closer. "What happened?" she mumbled waiting patiently for me to answer. "H- he keeps coming home drunk, he s- screams at me for being a useless housewife and he, he throws things, empty beer bottles or or". Another sob left my lips and as I looked up at Taylor I could see her jaw was clenched and her eyes were overflowing with anger.

"Tay-" I started

"That son of a bitch" she muttered under her breath cursing him over and over.

"Tay, look at me" I said softly trying to calm her down. "Please calm down Tay, I love you"

Her beautiful blue eyes met mine and she told me to go up to the bedroom and get changed into some dry clothes of hers while she got us some water. I obliged and went upstairs undressing and stealing one of her hoodies which was two sizes too big but I didn't care, it smelled like her and that comforted me. I then went and sat on the edge of the bed getting lost in my thoughts.

Taylor's POV

Nothing could describe the anger I was feeling right now. I'd sent y/n upstairs while I cooled down. I knew she'd been forced into marrying her husband and I knew they didn't love each other but I never imagined he would put his hands on her. The thought of anyone hurting y/n made my blood boil.

I sighed and grabbed the glasses of water before heading upstairs to my bedroom. Y/n was sat on the edge of the bed in my hoodie. She looked so cute as her eyes lit up and her mouth curved into a smile when she saw me. "Darling, do your parents know that he's abusive" I didn't even need to say his name we both new who I was referring too. Y/n sighed, "No they don't know and even if they did I'm not sure they'd care, just as long as they have their business deal with his dad then they won't care!"

I watched Y/n for a few seconds before asking her if she thinks she should get a divorce from her husband. "I- I don't know Tay, maybe, I just did it so my parents would be proud of me but I d- don't think they will ever be." I pulled her closer engulfing her in a hug placing a kiss on her forehead as the tears returned. "I don't think I have the strength to see him again" she mumbled.

"Oh Darling, it'll be okay I promise". She buried her face in my pyjama top while I massaged up and down her arms soothingly. About five minutes later I heard her breathing become deeper. Y/n looked so cute while sleeping. If only she knew how I saw her, she was the most perfect, cutest, kindest person I'd ever met - the love of my life and I wanted her to be completely mine. I wanted to marry her someday but she would never go against her parents for me, would she?

A knock on the door pulled me from my thoughts. I sighed not wanting to leave this blissful position with Y/n's head on my chest but I didn't want her to wake from the loud knocking sound coming from downstairs. I climbed out of our bed laying her down gently. When I reached the door i could hear a man swearing and the pounding getting louder. I unlocked the door revealing a man who took one look at me before pushing me aside and barging into my house.

"Excuse me". I crossed my arms anger and confusion filling my mind. "Who are you and what makes you think you have the right to barge into my house. He turned to me and I could smell the alcohol on his breath.

"Where is Y/n?" he demanded and it hit me. This was Y/n's husband, the one she'd been forced to marry the one her parents loved more than her, the one who abused her. Anger filled me and I saw red. Lunging forward I punched him square in the jaw. I knocked him to the ground as his nose started bleeding. His pathetic attempts to defend himself only made me angrier. I couldn't see or hear anything other than this man and the anger I had towards him.

Y/n's POV

I was woken up by the sound of yelling downstairs. It was unmistakably Taylor's voice but who was she yelling at? I jumped out of bed and made my way down the stairs cautiously. Taylor kept cursing at someone saying they were a worthless piece of shit and not to touch her girl ever again. I pushed the kitchen door open and gasped as I saw the sight before me. My husband was here. He was lying on the floor and Taylor was beating the living daylights out of him.

"Tay, what are you doing, stop STOP" I dropped to my knees towards her and grabbed one of her bloody fists making her pause and look at me, her eyes were a dark blue and overflowing with anger making me feel scared but when she made eye contact something changed in them.

Taylor's POV

I felt a hand grab my fist stopping me from punching this guy any more. I paused and looked at the person who'd stopped me taking out my anger. It was Y/n. Immediately my anger was lost replaced by regret when I saw the tears in her eyes. "T-tay?" she whispered
with fear in her eyes. She was scared of me, shit she can't be scared of me. I reached for her hand but she moved it away leaving me distraught.

"Baby I- I'm sorry" I whispered opening my arms hoping she'd embrace me back and to my surprise she did. I pulled away to get a look at her. "It's ok just please stop you could get into serious trouble for this" she mumbled and turned her attention to her husband. Even just thinking those words made me angry. I wanted her to be my wife, not his. I would always treat her right.

"What are we going to do with him, he's knocked out cold" she said in a voice barely above a whisper yet I could hear the fear in her voice. "I know a guy" I muttered hoping she wouldn't ask any further questions. Luckily she didn't and just asked me if we could go back to bed. I told her I'd be up soon and not to wait for me if she was too tired.

After she went upstairs I called Tom to get the body and finish the job before going upstairs to find my girl asleep. I smiled and kissed her forehead as I climbed into bed and my thoughts from earlier resumed. If her husband was out the picture would she want to go a step further in our relationship? Maybe she would move in with me, I couldn't help smiling just thinking about it and I knew she was the one.
