The sun was setting on the lonely town known as Kurasshurando resting in the countryside of Japan, with a cool summer breeze kicking in. The house had all kinds of gray walls with blue tiled roofs covering most of the homes. The Town was surrounded by heavy forest, tall mountains with rough trails topped off with giant rocky boulders that could hide houses and secret tunnels. The town of Kurasshurando had a low population of 1,600. Nothing ever happens in this town, with a crime rate of zero there are no heroes. It's where dreams go to die, but before you enter Kurasshurando, there's a big welcoming sign that says a weird quote, "There's more than meets the eye,"
It was just a normal sunset day for residents, except for one young man looking out his window, in his room full of unopened packing boxes and a small bed. He has green messy hair, green eyes, and freckles across his cheeks. He was wearing a white T-shirt and black shorts. He had a sad look on his face as he watched the sun go down.
This boy's name was Izuku Midoryia. He walked away from the window and started to unpack his things. His door opened to reveal a squat woman with green hair tied in a ponytail, she was wearing Brown cargo pants with a white sweater. This woman was Inko Midoryia, the mother of Izuku.
"Izuku are doing okay?" She asked in a concerned tone. He turned to her, putting on a smile for her.
"Yes Mom, I'm doing okay It's just a lot to take in, moving and stuff," He answered.
"I know it's hard, I mean you had to move away from your friends, but your father said we had to move to this place, It's cheaper rent and he said the schools are pretty good here, so you can start this year," She said to her son trying to cheer him up. Izuku understood where she was coming from, too bad for friends if she only knew he never had any. Izuku also thought for a small moment of his father working overseas, he thought it was nice even from a far distance, that his father was looking out for them, even though he never really met him or was here for him.
"It's alright Mom, you don't have to worry about anything, I'm sure this is going to be fun," He assured her with a hug. Izuku noticed that night was here and wanted to rest.
"Well it's dark, I'm going to go to bed,"
"Right now? aren't you going to unbox your things, what about all your All Might Stuff?" Inko asked in wonder. Izuku froze when he heard the question, almost frowning, but still kept his smile.
"I'll just do it tomorrow, don't worry, I got all summer so I think it's alright," He then started to make his bed. Inko left the room and closed the door behind her. He lay on his bed and stared at the ceiling slowly closing his eyes as he fell to sleep. Izuku was left to dream of painful memories as he tossed and turned in anguish, but as he tried to sleep the more disconcerting thoughts came. Like being tortured by an eagle eating your liver every day.
'Forget the crappy quirks you're quirkless and you think you can rub shoulders with me'
'What can you even do?'
'I'm afraid there's no hope for him'
'I'm sorry Izuku I'm sorry"
'Without Power can one become a hero? No, I should think not
'Worthless Deku.'
'It's not wrong to dream, however, you need to be a realistic kid.'
'He still can't face reality.'
'You wanna be a hero so bad? I've got a time-saving idea for you. If you think you'll have a quirk in your next life, go take a swan dive off the roof.'
Izuku's whole night was filled with mental dread with nothing but embers of his past broken dreams burning him up inside. A painful way to go, such as life for the quirkless, but extinguished fires can still carry embers and those embers carry a smoldering flame, dregs strong enough to keep you warm forever, potent enough to ignite into a blazing inferno.
