Emiko's pov:

I read the note over and over, maybe my eyes were playing tricks on me, at least that's what I wanted to believe. I felt my breathing slowing down by the second My legs felt weak and I got dizzy, which led to my legs giving out leaving my body trembling with fear. I tried to reach for my phone maybe I could try to call Hawks again but, I couldn't my body tensed I gasped for air wanting it to fill my burning lungs, but I couldn't.

Hawk's pov:

"Finally im done, that last person was a handful" Hawks shook his head and took out his phone seeing multiple miss called from Emiko. 'Shit.' He cursed to himself and pressed on her contact name.

Calling Emi Emi🌟🧑‍🧒 . . .

No answer.

Calling Emi Emi🌟🧑‍🧒. . .

Still no answer.

"Fuck. Fuck. FUCK." He didn't know why she wasn't answering a panic set over his face as he tried to call her again while he flew home, if he knew she called him, he would've picked up the phone without a second to spare but he had to stop a few wannabe villains. As Hawks got to the house he saw some of the light on, 'maybe she fell asleep?' Wrong.

No one's pov:

Hawk's unlocked the door going inside the house. "EMIK-" He saw her on the ground, her body shuddering and gasping for air, he ran to her without a second thought taking her in his arms he looked at her current state, her hair stuck to her face while she was sweating, her body trembling and the spirals in her eyes twisted flickers of shadows started showing up around them.

'Was this another one of her quirks' he thought to himself as he started seeing things of his past that haunted him. Him and his best friend that was pronounced dead a few years ago, Emiko's quirk was getting out of control, shadows, eyes, and hands flickering around them as if they were reaching out to grab the both of them.

"Shhh.. Emiko.. I-Im here now okay? Nothing-...No one can hurt you.." He whispered to her trying to calm her down, he whispered soft and comforting things to her as he noticed the illusions disappearing, it was working he just had to keep doing it, her rocked her back in forth in his arms resting his head on hers, he closed his eyes as he comforted her, like a father would do to his child.

Hawks felt as if he failed to keep her safe, was this his fault? Hawks cursed his self mentally for not answering his phone or even checking it right when she called. Hawks felt Emiko's body relax in his arms and her breathing going back to normal, but he didn't let her go.

"Hawks.." Emiko's voice came out raspy, it only made him think how long she had been like this, how he could've stopped it from happening if he had just answered the phone. 'I failed to protect you kid..' He thought over and over until he felt her arms wrap around him.

"Im okay..you're okay.. were both okay.." Now it was her turn to comfort him, that night they both held each other for hours as if they were father and daughter. After they both calmed down Hawks stood up helping her up, he wanted to know what caused this reaction out of her, to know what hurt her.

Hawks and Emiko sat on the couch, Emiko hid the note from Hawks a little after they got up from the floor, where they both shed tears.

"Emiko, what happened?" Hawks needed to know, his voice was stern as he looked at Emiko causing her to stop what she was doing and looking at him slightly gulping bringing her finger up to her mouth to bite on the nail. Hawks slowly nodded his head at her. 'Please tell me so I can protect you again..' He saw her gaze lighten up after his thought came straight to her.

"I..I heard him, and he found me..'' Hawks didn't know much about Emiko's kidnapping he only knew the details she told Detective Naomasa...

"Who is he? Emiko..." His voice was soft, he had to do better at protecting this girl. 'I have to know so I can protect her..' The thought caught Emiko off guard.

"It's...It's.. Tomura Shigaraki..." She said with hatred filling her eyes as she handed him the note. She hated the way his name sounded coming out of her mouth, she hated everything about that man.
