"Wow. Don't you two have some fancy costumes." Magnus mused with a smile.
Denki put his hand out and did a spin, "Ain't it rad?" He asked with a smile. Magnus nodded and hovered closer to us. Honestly, the only time I saw him walk on the ground was when we were walking back from our talk. He must like to look stylish.
Magnus clapped his hands together, "Alright. Let's get started. Tsutsumi, I want you to go over there and start stretching out. Your training will be a bit more physically intensive."She nodded and went to the general direction he pointed to.
Magnus went near Kaminari and guided him to a lamp in the clearing. The cord was straightened out and had an extension cord plugged in making it longer. Magnus pointed to the lamp, "I want you to keep this lamp on while your classmate and I battle. I imagine like mine, your quirk can require some concentration. Too little energy and the light goes out, too much energy and the bulb shatters, so we'll see how good your consistency is."
"Alright sounds simple enough." Kaminari grabbed the cord and held it in his hands. Magnus watched his first attempt with a small smirk. Kaminari used some of his quirk which made the lamp switch on brightly. It flickered a bit before dimming. The blonde furrowed his brows and applied more energy making it surge but it was too much. The thin glass burst in a poof.
Magnus laughed and clapped a hand on his back, "Figure out how much energy it needs. There's a box of lightbulbs there." He pointed at a bin filled with bulbs at the base of the closest tree.
Magnus started moving towards Nanami when he told Kaminari, "Remember to keep your concentration." The blonde gave him a thumbs up, "You got it!" Their mentor floated over to Nanami who was stretching out her legs under the shade of a tree.
"Now Tsutsumi with you, I wanted to see how you currently use your quirk, so what you will be doing is trying to land a punch on me while I do my best to evade. I won't be using my quirk for anything but moving around.
Nanami stood up and thought about the task for a bit, "I can use my quirk however I want?" she asked. Magnus nodded, "Of course, now come. Let's try to break Kaminari's concentration while we're at it." Nanami smiled and followed after him.
They put some space between them and Nanami spread her legs apart, ready to move.
"Let me know when you're ready." Magnus called.
I nodded and took a deep breath in. 'Right now he's just floating in no particular position. So maybe he's just gonna evade. Easy.'
I nodded to Magnus and reached my hand out, he tried to move to dodge what he thought was going to be an energy blast but I used my quirk to latch onto his energy.
He stilled in the air, once Magnus realized what happened his eyes widened slightly but he remained relaxed, "Ah. I remember you using this on the other 1-A students in the festival. Tell me, how does this work?"
