Nanami and her parents celebrated the next day with cake since her stomach was still feeling sensitive. She called Kaminari and he also made it in. He fawned over the phone about getting the news from All Might. After that, the two of them took it easy, still hanging out but no training. They were taking a 'time of relaxation' before they had real work to do at UA.
Her parents took her and Kaminari to get fitted for their UA uniforms and she even went over to his house to design her costume with him. Since she wasn't going to be at UA for long she decided to have fun with her costume and go all out. They weren't informed when they'd be able to see their costumes, but it was safe to say it would be during the school year since it was already the morning of their first day.
Nanami got up early and got ready. She brushed her hair, did her makeup, and got dressed in under 15 minutes. Her makeup was just a mixture of moisturizer and foundation, cheek and nose blush, nose highlight, lip balm, and mascara. The blush added the color she needs to her face, so she usually doesn't bother with eyeshadows unless the occasion calls for a fun look.
She wore her standard UA uniform, white button up, red tie, jacket, skirt, and stockings were optional so she just wore white ankle socks, and no one ever said anything about specific shoes so she wore her middle school white sneakers. Her mom had ordered her a new bag and school supplies. It was just a plain periwinkle color with black straps. Her mom had gotten her three notebooks, but Nanami just packed one, she usually used one for every class until it runs out of pages, she also had a panda bear pencil bag that held her pencils, pens, and highlighters. Her bag looked pretty empty, but that was all she needed for the day.
Her and Kaminari had already left the train station and were on the path to campus. It was funny to see him in a uniform since they met during break but he didn't look bad in it. Luck was definitely on their side because they were both put into class 1A, the hero course. Apparently, there was another hero course, 1B. 1A had 21 students and so did 1B. Nanami wasn't aware of how low their acceptance rate was till Kaminari started boasting about how good they must be to both be in the hero course A since their chances were 50/50.
"So Nanami what do you think the first year ceremony is gonna be like? Do you think All Might will be there and shake every student's hand? Or maybe he'll make a grand surprise entrance?"
"I don't know, a student orientation sounds boring for a hero school, don't you think?."
He tilted his head in thought, "You know what, you might be right."
They had already made it to the school's front gate. She stole a glance at him before speaking, "Um. Kaminari, you don't have to stick with me. In middle school, I wasn't really liked. And if it's the same here I don't want you to be bullied for hanging around a Poppy."
He raised his brows and looked at her and sighed, "Nanami how are you so smart but so stupid! I am positive things will be different. Sorry to hear you think like that but that will not happen on my watch. You're the hottest friend I've ever had, and I like hanging with you" He put his arm around her and pulled her into a side hug, "Now let's find our class babe."
