Denis pov
The rest of the school day went by in the blink of an eye and before I knew it I was getting my things out of my locker and walking with Alvin towards our bikes. I unlocked my bike and reversed it out of the bike park thingy. Just as I was about to get on, Alvin put a hand on my shoulder.
"Hey, wanna finish the presentation at my house?" He said nonchalantly with his hand still on my shoulder.
"Sure, if we actually work on the presentation and not do other stuff like every other time."
"Don't worry sweetheart, we'll work on the presentation." He said confidently before getting on his bike leaving me there frozen and flustered. I snapped out of my thoughts and quickly got on my bike and followed him to his house which wasn't that far away from the school. If only he knew how much his words impacted me. Sweetheart? Are you kidding me, why did I like it?
After a brief bike-ride we took a turn into his street. I had been here so many times so the street was very familiar. We got off our bikes and placed them against the wall of the garage and got our things. Alvin unlocked the door and greeted his family before we went up to his room. Something about it was so cozy. A room full of his scent, can you imagine?
I flopped onto his bed and took my chromebook out of its case. Set on finishing the presentation I looked over at Alvin who was clearly giving me a look.
"What, you said we were gonna finish it?" I said, raising my eyebrow at him.
"I didn't actually mean it, can't we just chill?"
"All men do is lie." I said with a sigh.
"I only said it so you would come with me. The presentation can wait." He said, a smirk growing on his face as he sat down next to me.
"Don't you dare Alvin. This isn't funny, we actually have to finish it this time. After we're done we can go get ice cream, hm?"
"Where's the fun in that, Denis?" He said, reaching over and closing my chromebook, his face still carrying that faint smirk.
"I'm serious this time Alvin." I said in a sort of serious tone. Knowing he wasn't likely to give up anytime soon. Just as I was about to turn on my chromebook again I felt Alvin take a hold of my wrists, pinning them over my head on the mattress. He was currently sitting with his legs on either side of my torso, one of his hands on my wrists and the other to support himself next to my head.
When I tell you my heart skipped a beat. I could've sworn I might've had a heart attack with the pace my heart was beating.
"What did I say again?" Alvin questioned under his breath while slightly smirking down at me.
Before even getting a chance to respond I felt his hand all over me making me scream out in laughter. I had always been very sensitive to tickles so I had a habit of laughing very loudly. Alvin was well aware of this and found it funny, hence why he always tickled me.
The tickling turned into a serious brawl on Alvin's bed. Like always, I won. Alvin refused to admit his defeat and kept insisting on a rematch. That was until his stomach let out a growl.
"Hey, about that ice cream?"
After a short walk to the bus station we were now heading towards our local ice cream place. Nearly nobody ever took this bus so we could sit at the very back. As we were watching stupid TikToks on Alvin's phone I heard a familiar voice entering the bus.
"Hey Alvin!" Gent's voice echoed throughout the bus.
"Hey bro" Alvin said, slightly moving away from me. Gent sat down in front of us and turned around so he was facing us.
"Where are y'all going?" He asked, placing his bag down beside him.
"We're just going to the store," Alvin replied quickly, giving me a slight look. Why wouldn't he want Gent to know where we were going.
"Okay" Gent responded unbothered "are you coming to practice tomorrow?" He then asked looking over at the two of us.
"Yeah probably" Alvin then replied. "This is our stop. Come on Denis, let's go" he said, giving me a look. We said our goodbyes and stepped off the bus.
"What was all that about?" I asked since he was never this cold to anybody, especially Gent.
"He's just annoying," Alvin replied, clearly not telling me the full truth.
"Why, he was just trying to hold a conversation that was fucking embarrassing" I laughed slightly while looking over at him.
"Shut up," he replied and playfully hit me on my shoulder. Shortly after that we arrived at the ice cream place. There were a decent amount of people there but nobody we knew.
"What're you getting?" Alvin asked, shifting his gaze from the large menu display to meet my eyes.
"Mint chocolate, please." I replied shortly.
"Oh, so you want to eat toothpaste? Sure, that's fine." He said with an annoying grin plastered on his lips but nonetheless walking up to the counter and placing our orders.
I didn't expect him to order for me, that was kinda sweet of him. Alright I need to stop with the delusions now, he probably doesn't even think anything of it. But what about the way he pinned my hands to the bed. There's no way he didn't feel something too. Nevermind, there I go with the delusions again.
