Tzuyu's POV

I woke up feeling weak, it’s like my blood is drained. I heard footsteps downstairs and I immediately thought it was Sana.

“Babe?” I called.

No one answered and I continued walking down the stairs. I saw Grandma cooking for me. Why is she here? It’s just 2 weeks since we got here from Taiwan.

“Good morning, Love, oh, I missed you so much!” She hugged me tight and I hugged back.

“Nana, why are you here?” I asked confused.

“I just thought of staying here with you, for good.” She said.

“You’re going to stay here? Like seriously?” I asked with a smile.

“Yeah! I don’t have anything to do in Taiwan, so why not stay with you here.” She said.

“That’s great!” I said and hugged her again.

“Have you seen Sana?” I asked.

“No, you were alone all night.” She said and continued cooking.

“But… she slept with me last night…” I said.

“Maybe she left when you’re asleep.” She said coldly.

That’s weird, she usually leaves a note for me, but why didn’t she leave something now? Is it because of my grandmother? I know they aren’t that close and Nana hates Sana, but I really love her, so she can’t push Sana away.

One week later…

I am starting to feel alone again. Sana isn’t picking up my calls, she didn’t show up, even at work. Her secretary said she barely goes to work even before because she does everything at home.

She might be at home, I can go to their house to check for her, right?

“Butter! Let’s go for a walk!” I called for my dog.

He grabbed his leash and gave it to me. After a few minutes, we went near Sana's house, and their house seems to be normal, but there’s no one in there. Their cars are still there, so they didn’t move out, maybe they are out for a hunt.

Sana's POV

My whole family is hunting right now, as usual, Momo take my leftovers as I can only take less than half of a 4-legged animal.
Dad and Louisa left us for their work, and I was left with the lovebirds.

As we were playing around in the woods, I felt a human walking nearby. I don’t crave for human blood anymore, but I am still avoiding them. The scent of the last person I want to see right now suddenly went nearer and nearer as we dashed through the trees.

I stopped dashing as I saw her… Tzuyu… she’s walking with Butter. Her dog suddenly barked nonstop, and I know he can smell me.

“Butter! Let’s go! We have to go home.” Tzuyu tried to drag him away.

Butter didn’t listen and kept barking at the tree that I was hiding on. She can’t see me.

“Hey Jade, what’s that stop for? A wee stop?” Dahyun asked through my mind.

“Dahyun, come here, it’s Butter, he’s with Tzuyu, they can’t see me.” I started to tear up.

I heard them dashing nearby and Butter got loose from his leash and he started jumping in front of me.

I just looked at him with his happy eyes as I started crying.

“Butter! Come back here!” Tzuyu yelled.

“Sana!” Momo said and dashed in front of me.

I placed my hand on my mouth to stop the cries.

“Looks like he found a friend.” Dahyun said and picked up Butter and brought it back to Tzuyu.

“Dahyum! I thought Butter lost his mind barking at some tree.” Tzuyu said.

“I think he caught us.” Momo said and left me hiding on the tree.

“Why are you here? It’s dangerous here in the woods.” Dahyun said.

“Well, I was just taking Butter for a walk, and uhm… have you seen Sana?” Tzuyu asked.

“Oh… Sana is fine, she’s just having her alone time… she barely talks to us, I think she’s just having some mid-life crisis, you know… she’s going to live hundreds of years, just living her life.” Momo said.

“I’ve been calling her; she doesn’t pick her phone up.” Tzuyu said.

“Maybe she left her phone in her room, I’ll check on her later, then I’ll tell you some updates.” Momo said.

“Thanks… and could you tell her to come by my house… I really miss her.” Tzuyu said that made me cry even more.

“Yeah, but don’t expect… vampires always do their own stuff… she might not show up.” Dahyun said.

“Yeah… I understand… just in case… just tell her I’m just in my room, I’ll leave my window open.” Tzuyu said.

“Sure… go home safely.” Momo said.

“Thanks, you too.” Tzuyu said and heard her footsteps getting away.

I teleported back to my room and curled up in my blanket hugging Tzuyu's favorite pillow from my bed.

I can’t lose her, I will always protect her, but I’m scared, what if she finds out the truth? What if she is so mad at me?
