6 months - after filming
back home!

filming was officially over! javon and i were back home. we both currently at dinner with his family.

"so how was filming?" jayla asked excitedly, "super fun! everyone was so kinda and sweet" i smiled. "i can't wait until it comes out" she smiled.

"i heard there was some kissing scenes" jaden said teasingly. javon playfully rolled his eyes at his twin. "leave him alone, jaden" jessica laughed.

our food came shortly after waiting, i was cutting into my steak, when i noticed a small group of girls giggling as they walked past us.

i guess this is the famous life?

"it happens all the time" javon whispered to me, "oh trust me i know" i laughed. "people always wanna take pictures with me, but only "because i'm drew starkey's little sister" i chucked.

"it's the same for me too" jaden said, "people only like me because i'm related to javon" he admitted. "if that's true, then they are stupid. you're a great person jaden" i smiled softly.

"vanessa, did javon tell you that he's going pro in boxing soon?" dj asked with a big smile on his face. "no! he hasn't mentioned it. but that's amazing" i said smiling over to him.

"i can't give out details, but it would mean a lot to me if you were there when i went pro" javon smiled. "i would love to be there" i smiled.

"are you busy tomorrow?" jayla asked, "for you. my schedule is cleared" i laughed. "oh good. can we get our nails done and go shopping?" she asked. "uh yes. i would love to" i smiled.

"come to my baseball game!" jaden said, "what time is it?" i asked. "it starts at 12" he replied, "jaden no! she's busy with me" jayla said.

"well. she was my friend first" javon said, "guys. there's plenty of me to go around" i laughed. "guys, leave her be" jessica laughed. "she will hangout with everyone when she can" she said calmly.

dinner was over and the walton family insisted on paying for me, when i offered to give them they declined each time.

"thank you dinner! it was so good and i had a great time" i smiled. "do you wanna sleepover, jayla? my mom is actually working late" i said.

jayla looked over at her parents and they smiled. "sure!  i just have to go home first to pack a bag" she said. i decided to go back with her.

she was packing some clothes and i was in javon's room talking to him.

i sat on the edge of his bed and he sat next to me. "javon" i said, "what's wrong?" he asked.

"being your friend for these past few months has been great. i love being around you and your family. you guys are truly wonderful people" i smiled.

"we love having you here. i love having you here" he smiled at me. "javon i lik-"

"hey, you ready to leave?" jayla asked barging into the room. "uh yes" i said, rubbing my sweaty palms on my sweatpants. i was so nervous.

"text me, okay?" javon said grabbing my hand. "i will. have a goodnight" i said grabbing my bag.

jayla and i walked to her car and went back to my house.

we went to my room and changed into pajamas and decided to watch camp rock. "i love this movie" i said, "right! definitely a comfort movie" jayla replied.

"did i interrupt something before? i feel like i did" she said. "i uh kinda" i started, "i was about to tell javon that i like him" i said in embarrassment.

"don't be embarrassed! you guys would be so cute" she gushed. "i hope he feels the same way about me" i said nervously. "tell him tomorrow. i bet he does" she smiled.

"he talks about you all the time, honestly. i think he's falling for you" she laughed. "i know i've only known him for a few months, but i can't imagine a life without him in it" i said.

"i call being a maid of honor and godmother!" she squealed excitedly. "woah woah..too fast" i laughed, "you guys are meant to be, i can feel it" she said.

"it's him" i smiled looking at javon, "tell him!" she said.

"so tell me everything!" jayla said, i locked my phone and stared at her with a blank expression.

"stop looking at me like that. you're scaring me" she said. "we're going on a date tomorrow!" i said excitedly. "oh my god. yes. welcome to the family!" she said hugging me.

"he said to buy something fancy" i said, "i can totally help you with that" she smiled.

jayla laid her bed down on the pillow, the movie still playing. i was so excited and nervous that i felt like i was going to throw up.

what if we go on a date and he realizes that he doesn't like me? what if his parents aren't happy with it?

what if we date and break up? what will happen?

i laid my head on my pillow. i tried so hard to not think about the worst scenarios. but it was hard.
