Jennie's eyes fluttered open, her head throbbing with pain. She was no longer in the dark, cold room. Instead, she found herself in a brightly lit, sterile environment. The beeping of medical equipment surrounded her. She tried to move, but her body felt heavy and unresponsive.
"Where am I?" she whispered, her voice hoarse.
A nurse appeared at her bedside, her face kind and concerned. "You're in the hospital, dear. You were found unconscious at the school theater. You've been out for a few days."Jennie's mind raced, memories of Rain's twisted game flooding back. "Rain... she... she did this to me."
The nurse frowned, glancing at the chart. "We found no one else at the scene. The police are investigating, but it looks like you suffered a severe head injury."
Jennie's heart pounded as she processed the information. Had it all been a dream? A hallucination from the trauma? The vividness of the experience, the pain, the fear—it all felt too real to be a figment of her imagination.
Days turned into weeks as Jennie recovered physically, but the psychological scars remained. She couldn't shake off the feeling of being watched, the lingering terror of Rain's voice echoing in her mind. As she returned to school, she noticed Rain was absent. Rumors circulated about her suspension and subsequent disappearance.
One day, Jennie received a letter in her locker.
"Did you enjoy my game? It's not over yet."
Jennie's hands trembled as she read the words. She knew she had to find Rain, to confront her and put an end to this nightmare once and for all. But as she prepared herself for the inevitable confrontation, she couldn't help but wonder: Was she ready to face the darkness that Rain had unleashed within her?
