The contract

Chanel's pov:

I woke up, more tired than usual. Yesterday was...hideous. I forgot how it feels to be loved and also how it feels when you're scared. Because those words haven't been in my vocabulary for the past few years. I went downstairs to wake up Aiden and i had to go earlier to work since i need to meet the guy who applied for the job.

"Aiden! Get your ass up!You've got school! "I said. Sometimes i felt like a mother.

"And there i was thinking you love me "he said sarcastically and i completely ignored him."Je dirai juste qur c'est ta façon de montrer que tu m'aimes." (I'll just say this is your way of showing your love to me.) He said amused and got up to changed. I rolled my eyes and went out towards my car and drove off to work.

Once i got there i entered my office and sat down at my desk. After a few minutes someone knocked." Enter! "I said while signing some papers. When i lifted my look i was met with a familiar male figure. He was the guy from the night i was attacked. The one that saved me.

"Luca Di Angelo, pleasure meeting you. "He said so calm.

"What are you doing here? "He smirked and sat down.

"Just applying for a job. "He said still keeping that smug smirk on his face. I looked at him coldly.

"Get to the subject "i said continuing to sign documents.

"If you insist. I want you to do me a little favor " he said and i didn't bother to look at him hoping he would take a hint that i don't care, but instead he continued.

"As you know i saved you that night and now i need you to escort me to the anual Mafia Spring Masked Ball. And also i need a heir. "And suddenly my pen slipped and the signature scribbled.

"That's supposed to be little? My answer is no anyways "i said and threw the messed paper in the garbage.

"I wasn't asking. I saved you and you will return the favor."He said and i scoffed.

"I didn't ask for your help nor your pity. You chose to save me yourself so i own you nothing." I said coldly and looked at him.

"I see we're not getting an agreement and i'd hate to shoot your beautiful face. But don't think i wouldn't do it. " He said and i clenched my fist suddenly i threw my pen at him but he caught it before it hit him with the sharp part in the eye. He just laughed. "They really are right about you. But you know that i'm not the only one who wants you. And you saw it yourself that night. Many people want to hunt you down. And not only you but your brother also. " I widened my eyes. How did he knew i had a brother? "Don't be surprised that i know, after all you know what kind of man i am. Now be a smart girl and sign the contract. After all it's a win- win. I can escape the people mouth by having a wife and you and your brother will be under my protection. " He said and put a contract on the desk.

"I can protect myself and my brother! "I said and he laughed.

"We both know you aren't capable. "The bastard gave a look at my scar on the neck from that night that was made by that man a month ago " Don't let the fact that you are stubborn to answer in your place. " He said and i looked at the contract. He was right, i could barely protect myself, that meant Aiden was helpless. I sighed grabbing the contract and started reading it.

"Move in with you? C'est drôle!" (That's funny!). I said and looked at him amused.

"How do you expect me to protect you when i don't have you near?" He said like it was common knowledge.

"How do I know that being in your world will make me safer? If anything i'm in more danger!" I looked at him not wanting to give in just yet.

"Believe me darling, no one dares to attack me, and if they do , they are basically giving themselves a death sentence." He replied amused and i rolled my eyes and forced myself to sign the contract.

"What are you doing here if your house is in Italy?" I asked.

"How do you know that?" He looked surprised. Fucker thinks i'm dumb or what?

"Please, Di Angelo, clearly italian." I said and rolled my eyes but he just smirked.

"Few problems there and there so we moved for a while."He replied and i simply nodded . "Anyway, pleasure doing business with you."He said grinning like an idiot he is.

"Bouge ton cul, connard!" (Move your ass, asshole!). I said and he replied amused.

"French i see " he said and finally left. I sighed. God what have i signed up too.

Luca's pov:

It took an eternity to convince her but i knew eventually she would give in. She loves her brother too much. Just wait until she found out that Myra is actually my sister Alessia. I imagine her turning into a dragon and burn her alive. I got into the car and met with Rafaelo's bored look"

"I thought you died in there. So how it went?"He asked and i showed him the contract. "You know, i thought that you won't be able to do it. I underestimated you."

"She didn't have a choice. It was either this, or her and her brother getting killed by some random guys." I said and Rafaelo replied.

"Did you found out about who wanted to kill her that night? "

"I have no idea. It's like he's a ghost. I asked Alessia and even she, couldn't find anything." i said while rubbing my forehead "Any news on Hernandez? "But Rafaelo gave me a disappointed look.

"He's planning something and he will do it when we least expect it. We need to be careful Luca." Rafaelo answered and i sighed.
