The morning after Lisa's visit brought Roseanne no peace. The revelations of the previous night circled incessantly in her head. She tried to concentrate on her art, but her thoughts kept wandering to the mysterious woman and the promised adventure.
In the end, Roseanne could bear it no longer. She had to find out more, had to understand what was being asked of her. She put on simple traveling clothes and left the estate to look for Lisa. In the village, she asked around carefully and found out that Lisa was staying at a small inn on the outskirts of the town.
When Roseanne arrived, she found Lisa in a corner of the inn, engrossed in old maps and writings. When she noticed Roseanne, she smiled and beckoned her over. "I've been expecting you," she said quietly.
Roseanne sat down and looked at Lisa seriously. "I can't just carry on as before. I need to know more about what you've told me. How can I really help you?"
Lisa looked deep into her eyes, as if she were looking straight into her soul for a moment, then she nodded and put the cards aside. "I've been thinking, and I think our first step is to travel to the old temple in the mountains. There should be clues there to the artifact we're looking for."
"A temple in the mountains?" Roseanne felt a mixture of excitement and fear. "But how are we supposed to get there? And what exactly awaits us there?"
"The journey won't be easy," Lisa admitted. "But I have faith in you, Roseanne. Your art and your heart will show us the way."
The decision had been made. Roseanne knew she had to face this challenge, even if she didn't have all the answers yet. "When do we leave?" she asked determinedly.
"Tomorrow morning," Lisa replied. "We should get some rest and prepare. The journey will be exhausting, but I know we can do it."
Roseanne spent the rest of the day preparing for the journey. She packed the essentials, said goodbye to her servants, there was no one left of her family to say goodbye to. And yet her heart was heavy, but she knew that this was what she had to do.
The next morning, she met Lisa at the edge of the village. The sun had just risen and bathed the landscape in a golden light. Together they set off into the mountains, accompanied by the gentle sound of the wind and the chirping of the birds.
The first few days of the journey were quiet. Lisa led them through dense forests and along stony paths, always on the lookout for clues. Roseanne used the time to learn more about Lisa and her homeland. She learned about a world full of magic and wonders, but also of great dangers and challenges.
One evening, when they had set up camp and the fire was crackling comfortably, Roseanne looked at Lisa thoughtfully. "What will happen if we find the artifact?" she asked quietly. "Will it really change everything?"
Lisa looked into the flames and nodded. "Yes, it has the power to save or destroy our world. But it depends on how it's used. And that's why I need someone like you by my side, Roseanne. Someone who sees with their heart and makes the right decisions."
Roseanne felt deeply touched by Lisa's words. "I'll do my best," she promised, "for you and for the people who are counting on us."
The journey continued and soon they found themselves in the high mountains. The air became thinner and colder, and the paths became steeper and more dangerous. But Roseanne sensed that they were on the right path. Somewhere in these mountains lay the temple and the answers they were looking for.
One afternoon, as they were struggling through a narrow pass, Lisa suddenly stopped. "We're almost there," she said, pointing to a hidden path that disappeared into the rocks. "The temple is not far away."
A mixture of relief and nervousness ran through Roseanne. She took a deep breath and followed Lisa up the narrow path. Her journey had already changed her and she knew that what lay ahead would be even greater and more meaningful.
With beating hearts and firm resolve they set off on the final leg of their journey, ready to face the mysteries of the ancient temple and their own destiny.
