As soon as Frankie starts walking away, Kate gets up, worried, and just watches Frankie walk down the hall into what she assumes is her bedroom, closing the door behind her. She feels guilty as fuck. Like she just ruined everything. Her chest hurts knowing Frankie's upset. She walks down the hall slowly, stopping outside the closed door.

"Frankie? Are you okay? I'm sorry! I should've minded my own business, and I don't like how it feels knowing I upset you." Kate leans against the door, talking softly. She gets not response and walks away. She fills a glass with water and Frankie's phone and walks back down the hall, setting them on the ground outside the door. "I got you some water. It's on the ground right outside. I'll be in the living room. I brought your phone too. If you want me to leave, just text me and I'll go." Kate walks away and sits on the couch. The door opens and closes. No Frankie.

She's nearly in tears as she hugs her knees to her chest. Her phone sits next to her and she waits for the dreadful text that tells her she absolutely ruined everything. Tears fall when her phone buzzes and she see's the little camera emoji. She stands up, slipping her phone in her pocket, and carries her empty water cup to the kitchen. She grabs the drawstring bag she brought with her, opens the door, and walks out.

She hears the door close and Frankie jumps up, wiping the tears from her face and sprints out to the living room. Kate and her bag are gone. The damn girl didn't bother reading the text. Without shoes, she opens the front door and runs to the elevators. One is on the 9th floor and the other is on the 7th. Found her.

She pushes the door to the stairs open and begins running down, jumping every couple because she knows she has no chance of catching her if she doesn't. She skips half the steps for the last 2 flights, her last one she rolls her ankle, her leg buckling but she keeps going. She opens the door and limps out the front entrance, looking both directions, not seeing Kate anywhere.

"Fuck!" She hobbles back inside and pushes the button to the elevator. It opens but a bunch of people come out, so Frankie has to wait. The group passes and she steps in, bumping into someone and landing flat on her back.

"Frankie? What the hell are you doing? I thought you-"

"You should... make a habit of... reading the... texts people send you, dumbass." She shouts, completely out of breath so it's not at all loud. Kate pulls out her phone and opens it, her eyes widening as she reads the message. She bites her lip and looks down at Frankie.

"Oh." She shoves her phone back into her pocket.

"Oh." Frankie mocks. "Can you like, help me off the ground please?"

"Shit! Yeah, I got you." Kate immediately drops her bag and helps Frankie onto her feet, well, foot. "Frankie?"

"Yeah?"

"How'd you get down here so fast?"

"Stairs."

"You live on the 8th floor!"

"I know." Frankie hops on her good foot, Kate noticing.

"Tell me you didn't get hurt running down the stairs trying to catch me."

"Well, I don't want you to think I'm a slut, loser, and liar all in 2 days, so I absolutely did that. I rolled my ankle."

"I know you're not any of those, and we can get back to that later. For now, what the fuck?"

"Read the text next time!" Frankie glares.

"I learned my lesson." She smiles, Frankie slapping the back of her head. "Ow." She frowns, helping the girl into the elevator with her, grabbing her bag on the way.
