"I'm gonna park up front and help you to the chairs in the lobby, then I'll find a spot and come back for you. Sound okay?" Kate asks, pulling up to Frankie's building.

"Uh huh. Just make sure you park in a visitor spot. People will key your car if you take their reserved space."

"Noted." Kate helps Frankie to the chair in the lobby and brings her the crutches before heading back to park the car. She's only gone for a couple of minutes.

"Ice cream?" Frankie shows an excited smile.

"Ice cream." Kate nods and helps her to stand with her crutches, staying extra close to catch her should she fall. After an elevator ride and what felt like a mile long walk/crutch down the hallway, Frankie hands Kate the key. "You wanna be on the couch, or in your room?"

"Room. I can get there by myself."

"Alright, what kind of ice cream?"

"Anything with chocolate, please."

"Sure. Go lay down."

On her first try, Kate manages to find the cupboards with the bowls. Takes her a solid minute to find spoons and an ice cream scooper. She grabs whatever chocolate ice cream is in the fridge and scoops some into a bowl for Frankie, and some for herself before quickly cleaning up. She grabs the bowls and spoons and heads down the hall to Frankie's room.

"Thank you." Frankie accepts the bowl that she's handed.

"Hold mine for a sec." Kate hands Frankie her own bowl. She picks up 2 of the decorative pillows off the ground and carefully lifts Frankie's cast, sliding the pillows under. "There we go." She takes her bowl back and leans on the headboard next to Frankie.

"You're amazing." Frankie leans her head on Kate's shoulder as they eat.

"I'm just me, Frankie."

"And just you is amazing. Are amazing. Is? I don't know, you get my point." Both girls laugh.

"You're amazing too, Frankie. I told my mom about you." Kate admits.

"You did? Why?"

"Well, why'd you tell your parents about me?"

"I don't know. I guess because I was excited. I was happy. I'm still excited and still happy."

"Then that about covers it for me too. I was excited and happy and the thought of telling someone made me even more excited and happier. I'm still happy and I'm still excited. Hence why I forced you into a slumber party in your own apartment."

"When you finally get a real place, can we do slumber parties there too?"

"Whenever you want."

"Yayyyyy." Frankie leans closer into Kate. When their bowls are empty, Kate grabs them and brings them to the dishwasher, deciding not to start it yet since it's not very full. She'll still ask Frankie though.

"I put everything in the dishwasher but I didn't start it. It's not super full but I can go start it if you want." Kate peeks her head inside the door, reading to head back if that!s the request.

"No, it's okay. Maybe in the morning. Come back to me." Frankie waves her over.

"Do you wanna try watching something? Or we can just talk. Or if you're tired we can go to sleep now." Kate hops in next to her.

"Our question game got interrupted earlier. Can we do that again?"

"Of course. When is your birthday?" Kate smirks.

"May 14th, a week from today."

"What are you doing for your birthday?"

"Working, I guess. Big day for you, huh?"
