Haerin's POV:

I entered the classroom, feeling all eyes on me—except the ones I wanted. I headed straight to my group. "Oh hii, Haerinieee!!" Dani approached me with a big hug."Hi," I replied plainly."Still keeping that poker face on the first day?" Dani teased, and I rolled my eyes.
"Hey Dani, look who's here," Karina and Kazuha chimed in, teasing Dani. We turned to see Hanni entering the classroom. Now, we all knew Dani had a huge crush on Hanni but had never confessed. She really should, so that hanni would stop sticking to Minji all day. I glanced at Dani, whose expression had turned to a frown. Then, I saw the reason: Hanni was hugging Minji. I don't know why, but I felt something inside me burned.
"I don't think Hanni would ever say yes to me," Dani said sadly. "Aw, don't worry Dani, you'll find someone better than Hanni," Karina reassured her.
"Wait, what? Why, Dani? You should focus only on Hanni," I blurted out quickly, almost in a rush. "Dude, why are you panicking?" Kazuha asked.
"Yeah, Haerin, you said you don't like Hanni, right?" Karina questioned.
Oh my god, why did I say that? "Um, yeah, I don't like her, but she seems nice for Dani," I replied, earning weird looks from them, for which I rolled my eyes before heading to my seat.

Minji's POV:

"Um, why are the IT group here?" I asked Sunoo. He gave me a look that said, "Are you serious right now?"
"Come on, Minji, where were you when we were chatting in the group yesterday?" he retorted. Oh, the group chat. Wait a minute. Let me explain. We have a group called "The Six Packs," which includes me, Hanni, Sunoo, Han, Felix, and Yunjin. We're not as famous as the IT girls, but we're known for the crazy things these boys do. That's our introduction. I quickly pulled out my phone and checked the group chat. "Oh, yeah, sorry, I didn't know because I have it on mute," I said, then realized my mistake. Oops
"Bro, you muted our group chat?" Sunoo exclaimed dramatically, placing his hand on his chest. "Well, you guys talk so much," I replied defensively. "But—" Sunoo was interrupted by a voice behind him. "Hi, Sunoo and Minji!" Hanni exclaimed loudly as she approached us. Thank god. "You didn't have to be that loud," I said to her, looking bored.
"Better than being on mute like you," Sunoo fired back before returning to his seat. "What—" But I was cut off by the teacher who had just entered the classroom. Hanni and I always sat next to each other, and I hoped this new teacher wouldn't change our seating arrangement. Soon, the class started, and thankfully, he didn't change our seats. But that didn't mean I would like him. "Hey, Hanni, where are the other three?" I asked her. "Oh, did you forget already?" she questioned. First of all, I didn't forget anything because I didn't even know what they talked about yesterday. But I couldn't say that, or she'd kill me, so I went with, "Yeah, I did forget, hehe, sorry," scratching my neck awkwardly. "Well, I'll tell you again—they're not in our class this year," she informed me. What? Why? I wanted all six of us. So unfair!

*Skip to lunchtime because the class was too boring to write about*.

Minji's POV:

I love lunch break. It helps you breathe calmly and freely after getting suffocated in the classroom. But this peace didn't last long. I bumped into someone. "Lost in thoughts again?" Haerin asked, more like teased, making her friends laugh. "It's—" but I was cut off by Hanni. "Well, first of all, it's none of your damn business. Second, it was YOU who bumped into her," Hanni said. I couldn't help but feel proud of her. " And who are you, her bodyguard or girlfriend?" Haerin teased. "It's okay, guys. Haerin, let's go," said Dani, trying to pull Haerin away. "What if I am, huh?" replied Hanni, which made me turn as red as a tomato and also I swear I saw dani frown. After a moment of a staring competition between Haerin and Hanni, Haerin suddenly grabbed my tie and pulled me close. "Learn to stand up for yourself instead of blushing like a fool," she whispered angrily near my ear, which sent shivers down my spine. After she and her "squad" left, I realized she had called me a fool. WTF, how dare she?
"Are you okay, Min? Who she think she is huh" I snapped out of my thoughts, hearing Hanni's concerned voice. "More than okay," I replied with a thumbs up. "Okay, so guys, let's go to the cafeteria before the break ends. Come on," said Sunoo, dragging us to the cafeteria. "Wait—slow down, I have short legs!"
