Minji's POV:

It's been a week since school started, and to be honest, it's been a much better week than I expected. Since that little incident with Haerin, we haven't spoken to each other, which is really good for me. I've decided to avoid her unless absolutely necessary. On the bright side, Hanni has been giving me important notes and questions from time to time, for which I am very thankful. Our group also went out on Friday, so overall, no troubles YET, ya YET.

It was Sunday, around 10:00 p.m. I had my dinner and played some games with Hyein. After she left, I packed my bag because I have school tomorrow. I put on my headphones and played "Life Goes On" by BTS. I really like this song, especially at night. I was enjoying my peace, but then life took a turn.....Huge one.

"Um, h- hi Minmin," Taehyung oppa softly said while peeking through the door. I patted the empty spot on the bed, and he slowly came in and sat down, looking around the room. Now  I knew that he wanted something from me because, 1) he stuttered, 2) he was speaking softly, 3) he called me Minmin, and 4) he was looking around nervously. I think I could be a detective...Right??.

"What do you want from me?" I asked straightforwardly, surprising him.

"So, um, you know Haerin, right?" he asked nervously. Okay wait first of all, why are we talking about her in my room on this peaceful night? "And you know you're a fool, right?" I said sarcastically.

"Um, do you know her sister by any chance?" he asked. I know Haerin has an older sister named Hyewon who also studies at our school. "Yeah, I know her. She goes to the same school as us. Why?" I asked.

"Idiot, I know that. She's in the same grade as me. I mean, do you have her number or something?" he asked. Why the hell are we discussing this right now? And I have first time in my life heard him talking about a girl.

"No, I don't have it. But why?" I asked, now irritated by his behavior.

"Minmin, I love you, you know that, right?" he said, looking down. What? He never says such things, but tbh it's actually good to hear it.

"And I hate you, you know that, right?" I said, making him glare at me.

"So... I... you know... you... you... you..." I cut him off. "You~ you~ you~ like it's magnetic~" I chuckled while he glared at me. "Okay, okay, sorry, continue."

"I... I... like... Hyewon," he said, now completely avoiding my eyes.

"Oh, okay– wait, WHOOOOOO?" I shouted.

"Shhh, be quiet," he said, placing his hand over my mouth. Quiet, my foot, man. "BRO, are you kidding me, out of the WHOLE damn world with 8 billion people, you like whom?"

"You don't choose who you like, right?" he said with an awkward smile. What book did he read, before coming??

*Next day, at school*

Here I am, thinking about how to start a conversation with Haerin. I searched for tutorials all night. Bro, for real how am I supposed to go up to her and say, 'Hi Haerin, can I get your sister's number?' Forget about that; even greeting her is impossible. I was trying to avoid her and her family, and now my own brother is trying to connect us. Wow.

"Lost in thoughts, care to share?" asked Hanni. I mean, I share everything with her, but I can't share this because my brother begged me to keep it a secret. "Nothing, just tired.." Tired of this life.

*Lunch break*

I was sitting with the group, lost in thoughts again. So, I came up with a 'Master Plan,' actually an idea Taehyung oppa gave me. Here it is: I would join the Student Council. Yeah, it's simple to say, but why would I do that? Right?? Same thought came to my mind but the again I'm doing it just for my brother. Haerin and her sister are members of the Student Council, and if I become a member too, I can talk to her more. That's it.

After the last lecture, I quickly ran to the Teachers' Room. When I told my group about me joining, their reaction was like as if someone puts cereal before milk or someone is going to North Korea for vacations. After some talk and registration, I got to join the Student Committee. Out of all the committees, ahhhh. Though it was partly because my brother is also a member of the Student Council. And if you think why didn't he talked to Haerin or her sister, it's because he's shy with girls. That's it. And he totally forgot that I'm his sister.

We entered the Student Council room, and damn, it's so clean and gives off this idk 'clever students only' vibes.

When we entered, my brother told me about the work and stuff, though he's going to handle almost 90% of it because I'm not here to work. Thank God for that.

I felt some eyes on me, so I looked around, and there they were, the Kang sisters, staring at us. Damn, Hyewon really is beautiful, to be honest. I noticed them coming towards us, or me, specifically.

"Oh, hello Minji, it's been a while since I last saw you. You here?" asked Hyewon. I elbowed my brother.

"Oh yeah, actually, she's joining the Student Committee," replied my brother.

"WHAT? Nooo," said Haerin with widened eyes, before getting a glare from Hyewon. "I– I mean, why?" she asked. I stared at my brother because I didn't even know why.

"Umm, actually umm...," he said while thinking.

"Mom," I said suddenly, making everyone stare at me, confused.

"Yeah, actually, Mom and Dad suggested her to join. That's why," said Taehyung oppa.

"Oh, I see. Okay, cool. Welcome, Minji," said Hyewon sweetly.

"Thank–" but I got cut off by Haerin.

" Why Mr. and Mrs. Kim told you to join?" asked Haerin. Ahhh, this girl. "New experience," that was the best I could come up with. Haerin didn't seem to accept it, though, she was staring at me suspiciously. Oh God, save me from her! And I'm saying this because I know how smart she actually is....
