—————————————————

The knock on my door frightened me, it was 3am and the weather outside was stormy and it pouring outside.

I opened the drawer beside me grabbing an object just incase.

I open the door got ready to hit whenever it was with the object but I pulled back and took a step back with a relief on my face.

"Cabir! Navya!" I say with excitement and relief

I pull both of them in a hug even though I know Cabir doesn't like hugs but this moment was scary for me.

"What's wrong Nandini?" Cabir asks me as I break the hug and they come in. I close the door behind and turn around facing then. Cabir and Navya were in a relationship it's been quite long now and they seem very happy and it made me happy for them. I always hoped Cabir finding the love of his life.

Nothing has changed yet everything has changed.

It's been eleven months since everything has changed.

Eleven months since that incident that took Aarav's life.

Eleven months since Manik blamed me for his death and that I betrayed him.

Eleven months since I saw the love of my life.

Eleven months since I moved here to London losing contact with almost everyone.

Cabir and Navya were the only ones that knew I lived here in London, they would visit me frequently just to keep me company and make sure I was safe.

Manik was right, If ever he is not there Cabir would take care of me and he did.

I tried contacting manik so many times, hoping that he would understand me but every-time I tried calling him he would block me or once he changed his number and since then I couldn't get a hold of him. I couldn't even ask Cabir, but manik hates me so much that he doesn't even want to see or call him.

I would always find a way to ask Cabir about manik and how he is doing. Cabir would always tell me that manik has changed, he has developed a drinking habit which breaks my heart because I can't do anything about it, Cabir would always try to tell him off but he would get angry at him and rebuke him. He also mentioned that manik had anger issues now, he would get angry at little things and it was hard to calm him down at times, everyone at the company would be walking on eggshells around him. He is bitter towards life now and I hate to think that I'm the reason.
