Chapter Three: Nandini

I sat by Nyra until she wakes up, Cabir had left because he had an important meeting but Navya was still with me.

I held Nyra's hand in mine the minute I got here and didn't let go. My little baby, staying away from her killed me.

I felt her hand move in mine as I looked up to find her slowly opening her eyes, I looked at navya as she also sees Nyra waking up. A smile crept up on my face as I see her waking up.

She turned her head to look at me, her eyes were weak but as soon as she saw me they were full of life.

"Di!!" She says with excitement and she was about to get up quickly as possible but I stop her.

"Nyra, you need to stay laying" I tell her. "How are you feeling?"

"I'm fine but You came!" She says with a smile on her face as her started crying. "Please can I hug you"

I press my lips preventing myself from breaking down in front of her, I help her sit up on the bed and she takes me in a hug as soon as she can with her hand which wasn't wrapped in plaster.

I hug her back tightly crying and she was crying too we both were crying together while hugging each other like the end of the world.

She looks at Navya who was standing on the other side "thank you for bringing my di back navya!"

I look at navya smiling.

"Anything for you" she goes to navya and pinches her cheeks. "You guys talk and catch up, I'll be back"

Navya says giving us privacy, I nod at her as she leaves from the room. I turn to nyra.

"I'm so sorry I left you like this Nyra" I say.

"you were wrong I was much off worse without you!" She says to me as I break the hug "I know you didn't take me with you because you think I'm better off here but I miss you so much di"

"I know, trust me I didn't feel good without you too." I look down.

"Let's forget about that di, now that you are here I'm never letting you go! You are staying with me!" She tells me.

I didn't want to tell her that I will be going back right now but right now I just wanted to focus on helping her get better more than anything.

"Right now we just have to focus on you getting better okay?" I give her a small smile. "Now tell me why did you ride the bike when I specifically told you not to?!"

"I don't know" she shrugs her shoulders "I just wanted you to come back"

"So you tried to do things which I told you not to?"

"Yes, at least it brought you back" nyra shrugs her shoulders.

"You will not pull something like that again" I tell her off.

"I won't, it's just that I've never been this far away from you for so long, I kept trying to ask everyone where you were but no one told me di. I tried asking you everytime we call but you wouldn't tell me either. I started to think you just never wanted to see me, I was kind of scared that just like our Mumma you left too" she cries "After you left even though everyone was with me I felt so lonely, you're my sister after all."

Nyra's words reminded me of Aarav, she was devastated when I left to another country for eleven months but imagine how manik, Cabir and Dhruv feels after losing their younger brother Aarav for the rest of their lives. I cannot even begin to describe the emptiness they must feel.
