When Stiles wakes up, Malia is no longer there. She usually has to make it home before her dad wakes up and discovers that she's gone. He lost her for 8 years so she knows how much it would scare him to see shes missing.

It's still summer break and the heat in Becaon Hills is not letting up. Stiles goes down stairs to eat a late breakfast consisting of an omelette and bacon. His dad would kill him if he knew Stiles snuck bacon in the house and didn't share. Stiles is very adament about keeping his father on a strict diet to keep his heart healthy. But since Stiles does all the cooking, the sherrif would never notice if stiles snuck a few unhealthy food products in the house. Hes knows he's kind of a hypocrite but oh well.

After he cleans up the kitchen he plans on wasting the day away with video games but realizes be should proably take his dad some lunch or the sheriff will use the opportunity as an excuse to eat take out. He packs his dad a grilled chicken salad, with a few crutons and an Apple on the side. You know what they say. An apple a day keeps the doctor away.

He locks us the house after grabbing his keys and heads outside into the ruthless heat. He made it to his car when he felt it.

That cold chill you get that makes the hair on the back of your neck stand up. Like somebody is watching you.

Stiles spun around but saw nothing. He scanned the street and even the windows of his neighbors' houses. Still nothing. Maybe he's just being paranoid.
He fumbles with his keys before he finds the right one and unlocks the door.

There it was again. That creepy feeling. He looks around the street again. And that's when he saw it. A shadow moves near a tree across the street. He almost didn't catch it. If he turned half a second later he would've missed it. His heart began to pound and he could feel a panic attack rising in his chest.

He ripped his jeep door open and threw himself and his dad's lunch inside all while scrambling to lock the door. He looked back near the tree and saw nothing. He stared at it for a few minutes. Maybe it was all in his head. He decided to go with that. Maybe he just doesn't get out of the house enough anymore and its messing with his mind.

He leaned his head against the steering wheel and took deep breaths. Inhale 7 seconds. Exhale 4 seconds. Inhale 7. Exhale 4. He continued this breathing pattern til his anxiety lessened.

He laid his head back against the head rest and out of the corner of his eye he saw a little flower on his windshield wiper. He rolled down his window and grabbed it. When he got it he saw it attached to a little card. He opened up the tiny white envelope and pulled out the note. It read:

"Stiles, you'll always be perfect to me
-Love M"

Aww how sweet of Malia. She always knew how to make him feel better. And he loved flowers. He examined the pretty thing. It had purple petals with some white in the middle spread out into the petals. It was quite beautiful. He'd have to ask Malia what kind of flower it is. He put the small flower in the breast pocket of his flannel shirt and put the keys in the ignition. He started to car and drove away feeling much better.
