He first smoothed his curly hair.
Nalun found a seat and sat down, not looking at the person next to him.
Xerxes said calmly: "Tired?"
No response was received.
Xerxes was not angry either. He sat down in the empty seat next to Nalun and said, "My original guess is that the scepter was stolen by a group of three people. An insider, an executor, and the executor's accomplice."
Nalun moved his ears, his face still showing an indifferent expression.
"The accomplice of the gold-eating beetle is very interesting." Xerxes leaned back on the soft cushion, his eyes falling on the profile of the person next to him: "I deliberately said he was a mist beetle, because the way he seriously lies is very impressive."
Nalun rolled his eyes half a circle.
"I didn't expect to actually meet the Storm Bug today." Xerxes said with emotion.
"Maybe it was him," Nalun said sarcastically.
Xerxes shook his head and said, "No, although I haven't seen his face, my intuition tells me that the bug star just now is not my storm bug."
Nalun raised an eyebrow: "--yours?"
Xerxes smiled and said nothing.
Nalun felt an inexplicable chill on his back.
Xerxes didn't continue the topic. He opened the locker next to his chair, took out a can of beer, opened it and took a few sips.
Nalun: "..."
Xerxes took out another plate of fruit and asked, "Would you like some?"
Nalun remained silent with a cold face.
"The courtroom doesn't serve dinner at this time." Xerxes said sincerely, "The fruit is very fresh, you can fill your stomach first. When we get there, I'll find a way to send you some hot food."
Nalun lowered his eyes and glanced into his locker: "I'm not hungry, and I'm not in the mood."
Xerxes asked, "Are you worried about the trial?"
"I've been caught red-handed." Nalun closed his eyes in self-mockery and asked, "Even if I say that the whole thing has nothing to do with me, will anyone believe it?"
"Of course. Can you tell me about it?"
Nalun opened his eyes and found that Xerxes' expression was serious.
"Whatever you say, I will listen with faith."
Xerxes's gaze gave people a power that seemed to be able to see into the heart. He leaned down, put one hand on the neck of the person next to him, and said in a deep voice: "If there is really a hidden secret, I will do my best to protect you."
The gray-green eyes flickered, and soon, Nalun broke free from Xerxes's hand.
"I need to contact the defense attorney. You can talk to him about everything."
After a brief silence, Xerxes withdrew his hand, seeming a little disappointed: "Occasionally you can try to trust me."
Nalun reminded him faintly, "I believed it, but the price was that I waited for you for several hours by the deserted lake." He looked at Xerxes and asked, "Is this the food you spent several hours preparing for me? These fruits that are so unappetizing at first glance?"
