storrs, connecticutnika came running into the dorm room, a happy expression on her face. "hi!"
"hey, niks. whats up?" nika sat down on the edge of her bed, her leg bouncing up and down.
"guess what!"
"what?" she laughed out, staring softly at the girl.
she flopped backwards, looking towards jayden, "no practice tomorrow!"
"yeah, i know," she giggled, "i talked to him earlier."
nika scooted further up on the bed, head resting on the smaller girls lap. "can we have a movie night? we don't have to wake up early."
"yeah, sure."
six hours later
it was almost 10 pm. jayden sat on the floor in her dorm, picking through her dvds. nika was laying down next to her, sprawled out across the floor. "i miss movie theaters."
"you can blame covid for that. now please, help me choose a movie." she sat up and moved closer the the girl, leaning her head against the bedframe.
"i don't know."
jayden looked at her, "this was literally your idea?"
she flopped into jaydens lap, "i didn't think about this part..."
she let out a soft laugh and pulled her closer, pressing a small kiss to her forehead, "what about... freaky friday?"
"i don't think i've seen that before." she mumbled into jaydens chest, "so sure."
she let out a gasp, a shocked look covering her face. "wait, hold on. you're never seen freaky friday?"
"no. is that bad?"
"yes. thats what were watching." she shuffled out from under the girl and stood up, then helped nika onto her feet.
she stared down at her with an adoring look on her face, leading her to press a quick kiss to jaydens head. "i wish we could go out and do stuff."
"yeah." she mumbled out, turning away to hide the blush covering her face.
nika grabed around her waist, pulling her back. "looking a little red, jayds." she laughed. jayden turned and buried her face into the girls neck.
"its not funny."
"yes, it is." she giggled, poking her side. "you wanna watch that movie now?"
jayden wiggled out from her arms, a large smile plastered over her face, "yes!"
she dragged nika over to the bed, turning her laptop back on. she cuddled into the girls side, pressing play.
"honey, wake up."
