the two girls sat with their backs against the wall of their fully packed dorm. they were surrounded by boxes.

nikas eyes glanced over at jaydens side, before she turned her head fully. the other girl turned hers as well, looking deeply into her eyes.

a smile pulled over jaydens lips as nika started to talk, "promise we'll be roommates when we come back?" she held her hand out, their pinkys connecting.

"i wouldn't want it any other way."

when their fingers disconnected, nika grabbed her hand instead. "how am i supposed to go an entire month without you?"

a frown covered jaydens face. "it's gonna go by quick."

"no, it won't."

a soft giggle came from the shorter girls lips, her head falling onto nikas shoulder. "you can call me everyday."

her head fell onto jaydens, "and your going to answer, every single time."

"of course i will."

nika stood up slowly, pulling her up aswell. she looked out the window, smiling. "i think i'm going to miss it."

"we did have a good view."

she laughed softly, pressing her hand into her temples. "yeah, but..." nika took in a breath, turning to face the girl. "i'm gonna miss this."

"oh."

jayden pulled her into a tight hug, arms wrapping tightly around her neck. a pair of lips found the top of her head, making a blush cover the girls face. "what if you forget about me?"

"nika. i'm not going to forget about you over the span of a month."

"can i make sure you don't?

"what?"

she pressed her lips together, shuffling on her feet. she spoke quietly, "let me be your girlfriend, please."

jayden instantly grabbed her face, pulling the girl in for another kiss. nikas hand tangled into her hair, the shorter girl melting into her touch.

she mumbled into her lips, not moving away. "is that a yes?"

"mhm," jayden spoke softly, disconnecting her lip from the girls.

"good."

four hours later

the two girls sat in the car at the airports drop-off lane, neither saying a word.

a tear streamed down nikas face, "i don't want to go."

"your gonna have a good time, sweetheart." her hand brushed against the girls arm, which she grabbed softly. jayden pressed a soft kiss to her cheek.

nika crossed her arms, "your making me want to stay even more."

a small giggled came from the girl as she stepped out of the car. she walked to the back and opened the trunk, pulling a small suitcase out.

the taller girl came up behind her, resting her arm of her shoulder. jayden turned around, standing closely to the girl.
"you ready to go?"

"i guess."

nika pulled her into a tight hug, and thats how the two girls stayed.

they stood outside, arms wrapped around each other. jayden talked quietly, "i don't want you to leave."
