Black.
Everything was black all around me.
It was like I was swimming in a void.
Am I dead?
I asked that question in my... head? But it didn't feel right. I- I didn't feel dead. I couldn't really explain what I meant by that, but it was just a feeling. A feeling of being more instead of less.
Something caught my eye as I stared back into the void. A glint of light twinkled in the distance. The light- the light called to me. Whatever it was wanted me to get closer and closer and closer still. So, I got closer.
As I got closer, I could hear something.
Sounds.
A voice?
Someone calling.
Someone calling me.
"Hermi-"
Someone was calling me.
"Hermion-"
I reached for the light, arm outstretched, and it engulfed me in its warmth.
"Hermione!" The voice frantically yelled.
I groaned in pain.
"Hermione? Are you awake?"
The voice that was calling me was also shaking me. The voice sounded familiar. So familiar, but I was still so bloody out of it.
"Dear, please tell me you are ok?" The voice worryingly said.
I knew that voice.
My eyes opened, and I was face-to-face with Molly Weasley. Her long red hair was tickling my face. Her brown eyes looked so worried. Why was she worried? I could see tears in the corner of her eyes, and her mouth was in a tight line.
"Ugh... W-what?" I groggily said.
"You're back! Thank goodness you're back." Molly said as she gently brought me in for a hug.
I didn't have the strength to reciprocate, but I enjoyed Molly's warmth. Just moments ago, I felt so so cold.
"M-molly? What's g-going on?" I stuttered.
Molly looked me over quickly, pulled out her wand, and flourished it. A sudden warmth enveloped me, and I relaxed. She probably used a warming charm. I don't know why I was cold, but I appreciated it.
"I- I don't know, dear... I knocked on your door and waited for you to answer, but you never did. I got worried, so I came in with the key you gave me."
Molly paused for a moment to see if I was following, so I nodded for her to continue.
"I came inside, but it was deathly silent. I looked for you in your room, but you weren't there. So I finally checked in here and I- I found you o-on the f-floor." Molly said, stuttering at the end as her emotions started to rise.
"On the floor?" I asked weakly.
"Y-yes, passed out right here on your bathroom floor. W-when you d-didn't wake up... I feared the worst." Molly said, tears flowing down her red cheeks.
I wanted to wipe the tears off Molly's face, but my body wasn't cooperating with me. My arms felt like they were stuck permanently to my side and my legs felt like they weighed tons.
Why wasn't my body responding to me?
What the hell happened?
And why am I on the bloody bathroom floor?
