*backstory*
Lucy and Tim took a couple months after the breakup to go to therapy and talk stuff over. They finally got back together and 3 years later were married. This is now almost two years after their wedding day.
No One's POV
Tim smiled as he walked out of his office as he was let back into Metro and looked over at his wife who was standing in her civies in Greys office. "Hey Mrs.Bradford what are you doing here?" Tim said chuckling poking his head into greys office. She laughed "we're just visiting. Someone got stir crazy" Grey turned around and Tim saw him "Hey! That's my baby" he said walking towards Gray. Gray glared at him "Son if you don't let me have my turn I swear I will make your boss demote you again" Tim chuckled "Fine but don't hog him" Gray and Lucy both laughed. Gray looked and saw Luna walking by "oh no who told her?" Tim quickly went to grab the baby "hurry give me him before she comes and steals him" Gray laughs handing him to Tim because they all know how Luna is. Tim smiled at the baby "Hey handsome. Did ya miss your daddy" he smiled. He knows he's only 4 months old but he's still so cute "But no seriously who told Luna the baby was here?" Gray said and Lucy shrugged "I didn't and Tim didn't know we were coming.. Luna walked in "Oh the babies here. I wish I could stay but I just came to drop this off" she said handing food to gray "oooh so you didn't come for the baby" she laughed "am I that crazy" he nodded "yeah kinda" Tim and Lucy laughed walking out of his office. They made their way into Tim's office. Tim laid Theo down in the playpen he keeps in his office "How are you doing baby" he said kissing her softly as they sat on the couch. She sighed "honestly?" He nodded "yes. You had a baby like 4 months ago. I'm worried about you while I'm here" She nodded "Well honestly I'm dying on the inside. Most people only take 6 weeks off but since I had so much saved time and they are changing policies I get 6 months and I feel so guilty." He looked at her softly "about what? That you get more time?" She nodded "I get more time than Angela and Nyla did. I also feel guilty leaving him. Theodore is my everything now. I mean Tim I love you but he-" he smiled "He's the main thing that keeps the world going. I know." She smiled softly and he continued "but baby you can't be upset that the policy changed and you chose to use a month of time to spend with him plus I already used my 12 weeks which is more than what they got and I'm gonna use a month of my time at the end as well so he won't go to daycare until he's 7 months." She nodded softly but he could tell that wasn't the end of the conversation "Baby... do you want to stay home with him? Switch hours? What's gonna solve this" she shook her head "No. if I stay home I'll get too bored and I love my job and I don't want to work opposite shifts because well never see each other. I'm just not to Keene on a baby sitter yet." Tim nodded "how about this. We bring more stuff in here and we both vow to never be in the field at the same time and if there's an emergency and we have to be we have Tamara and my nephew Tyler. They both can get her last minute." She looked at him and nodded "but is that permanent?" He shrugged "well we could just do it until he's 1 it'll only be 3 months. Then we can see if we can afford Tamara or Tyler full time. That way we don't gotta find a babysitter that we don't know" she laughed "okay that seems good" After talking they fell asleep on the couch. They were awaken by a knock on the door that woke up Theo "Hey Bradford you got a second" he groaned standing up and opening the door. "What?" He said glaring at Aaron for waking them and the baby. "Oooh my bad I didn't know the baby was here I wouldn't have knocked" Tim nodded "Yeah they came for the afternoon what's up?" He asked while Lucy was getting the baby and calming him down. "Caradine told me to come get you to see if you could bribe Lucy into working this case no one can solve." Tim shook his head "Nope. Absolutely not. She's on maternity leave" Lucy peaked her head around the corner "What kind of case?" Tim glared at her "No." She glared back "Let's at least go talk to him about it" he groaned "fine. Let's go" he looked at Aaron "Watch Theo" Lucy chuckled and handed him to Aaron as he obliged "thank you!" She said quickly as they walked to his office. "Caradine. I know my wife has a longer maternity leave than normal but 1. You changed it 2. She deserves it and you won't cut it short." Caradine turned around "Sargent Bradford I'm not cutting it short. I need her for 1 case and she doesn't have to go to any crime scenes. She can bring the baby here while she interrogates and I'll gladly watch him. The rest she can do from home and I'll let her last month be free so she keeps her vacation" Tim looks at Lucy "Okay yeah that's a good offer whatcha thinkin babe" she shrugs "why can't anyone solve it?" He chuckles "No clue. We just can't so I figured I give you a month deadline if not it goes cold." She nodded "Why not. It would be nice." Even though they said yes Tim wasn't quite sure about it and Neither was Lucy. As they walked back to his office they noticed Theo wasn't there and neither was Aaron. Tim groaned and hopped on the radio "Thorsen where's my son?" he said annoyed him and Lucy both waiting. "7-Adam-19 do you copy?" Nothing. They both started to worry "This is Sergeant Bradford does anyone have Theo?" Tim's heart started to elevate while he waited then he heard a knock the door so he opened it. Lucy sighed a sigh of relief when she saw Wesley holding Theo "Angela said you were looking for him?" Lucy grabbed him from Wesley "Yeah Thorsen had him then just took off." Wesley chuckled "He got called to a scene as I was walking in so I took Theo" Tim sighed "Well thank you" they said bye and sat back on the couch holding him. As Tim looked down at him he sighed "Lucy do you think you're ready to come back yet? She shrugged "Not really but it's just for a month then it'll all be fine. I'll go back to staying with him until the times up again." Tim stood up putting the baby in his car seat "At least you know you can come in here and pump and you don't have to worry about anywhere else" he walked over and pulled into a hug and kissed her softly. She kissed back but with a little bit more eagerness. He grinned and moved his hands down her lower back kissing her more intense. After a couple minutes She pulled back "Don't start something" he chuckled "Let's go out Friday night. Let's find a sitter" she smiled at his request "okay who ya thinking?" "Angela" they both said at the same time. He laughed and they headed out hoping to run into her on the way out which they did and she said yes.
