Thirteen

She writes short messages,
Without punctuation,
And I wonder why I like it.
I have been raised on literature and
Poetry.
On the finest novels and stories available to me,
And so I cannot understand why three words, two of them single letters,
Appears so much more fantastical than anything the greats could compose.

Mabye it's their meaning.
Because it's a meaning meant to mean something to me.
The pages I grew up with were meant for everyone,
A public expression of feeling and talent,
But within the confines of our private messages
"I love u" is a sonnet just for my eyes.
