"In a world of 7 billion people, I have yet to find my soulmate, the one for me, the one I will spend the rest of my life with, the love of my life. There are billions of people in the world who have found their soulmates, and here I stand, alone at the doors of my future, waiting for him to see me. I used to think all the time that I'd never be loved or that I was unlovable, that was until I met him, the man who was forbidden, a married man, a man I should have looked up to, but he became someone I should have known was off limits the moment I walked into English 101. The Professor."
Luna wrote on the notes app on her iPhone 6, which she considered her diary. After being with multiple people of both genders, she couldn't find someone who wanted to commit to her and love her. Of course, she was still young and at the peak of her life. She didn't need to be searching for her soulmate, but that wasn't going to stop her. Luna had many boyfriends and girlfriends throughout her high school life, none that lasted over 4 months, though. She always thought she was cursed and would never find the one for her, the one to say those three words, too. The one who would tell them back to her. the person she was finally able to commit to; though she never thought she would be able to have that person by her side, she never expected her life to take the turn it did.
Luna Freeman, freshly 19, is starting college as an English major. Luna is a beautiful young lady with curly brown hair and bright gray eyes, her lips pink and plump, and her skin clear as day, she rarely suffers from acne like most girls her age do, she stands at five foot six inches. Luna was the oddball out of her family, her three stepbrothers Jodie, Johnny, and Paul had blue eyes and blonde hair, while her brother Lee had brown hair and dark brown eyes. Jodie, Johnny, and Paul have completely different parents from Lee and Luna; their mother, Carly, is now dating Lee and Luna's father, Mark. Lee and Luna's mother passed away due to brain cancer when they both were very young, ever since Carly and Mark got together the kids were suspicious of them, they later found out that Carly and Mark were having an affair which was why Carly and Fred, the boys' father divorced. Carly later adopted Lee and Luna as her kids since they were young. As kids, Luna and Lee had always been close with Jodie, Johnny, and Paul. there was a time when Jodie liked Luna, but they quickly faded when she became his stepsister because of his crush. He had become very protective of her. Writing has always been an escape from society for Luna, for as long as she can remember she's always loved writing and reading. Her writing was being brought to light as she finally got into her dream school, Yale. Luna was given a 15,000 dollar scholarship to help her get through school; by her high school, she was amazing in school, and her writing always got her through; she won every contest, gaining metals and ribbons, and her room covered in them all.
Luna was finishing packing her bags for school, putting the last few piles of clothes in her fourth suitcase and her chargers in her purse. As she bent down to grab the charging block from the wall beside her bed, she heard a knock at the door, "Bubs, are you about ready to go?" The voice was deep and manly, so she knew that it was Jodie. Luna stood up, turned to face him, and nodded, "Think so. I've got everything packed now." She told him softly, smoothly as she walked over and zipped the suitcase up. Jodie walked in, taking it and looking down at his sister, "You're gonna do great, Bubs." he told her, and she smiled at him and nodded, hugging him. Finally, the two left the room; Luna grabbed the door handle and started to pull the door closed, giving her bedroom one last look before closing the door and walking downstairs to the white pickup truck. "Where's dad?" She asked Lee, who shrugged and hopped in the truck; their father had been in and out of their life even though he lived at home; he never paid them any attention; he probably wouldn't even notice that Luna would be gone. Everyone jumped in the truck and was on their way to the university; thankfully, they lived in Bridgeport, Connecticut, so they could drive to New Haven to get to Yale University. School was always something really important to Luna; It was how she met all her friends and even got to know her stepbrothers a bit better. Well, mostly just Paul, as he's the youngest of three older boys, but all of her brothers graduated from high school before she was since she's the youngest. after having grown up on a farm with her brothers, she grew a southern accent, something she cherished and something that drew most boys she dated in. They all loved the little farm girl with an accent. Jodie always caused those relationships to end, being a bit too overprotective of her; the guys she dated got scared. Although Luna never really minded having protective brothers, she would never have trouble with other people, especially girls who hated her because all the boys wanted her in their little town. Luna always wanted to get away because the girls hated her; she wanted better people to surround her and better people to care about her. Luna, being the romantic she is, wanted to find the love of her life, the man she'd spent her life with, which was why she left for Yale University.
