Three Years Later....

Davion and Clarissa POV

[ CLARISSA ]

It was three years ago from today when I made my decision to go and report my domestic situation to the cops. I had called Taniyah and told her that I was going to report Romeo. In the end Davion, Taniyah, Bianca, Jamel and his cousin Trayvon all came to support me with my decision. At the time Bianca did not want to hear a word me and Davion had to say but I did not push her because I was very grateful she put her feelings to the side and come and support me. However, a month later me and Bianca had decided to meet up at the same Cafe where me and Taniyah had last spoken and we had talked things out. She forgave me and I was very content with how things had worked out.

I did not feel comfortable returning back to school so I did the rest of my studies online. However, during this time period, Davion told me that news about Romeo and I were leaked around school since he was arrested there a week later I had reported him. A month later, I had to go to court and testify against him, Davion did the same thing and with the testimonies and the evidence. Romeo was sentenced to prison for 35 years and I felt a sense of relief as I got the justice I well needed and deserved.

I did graduated with everyone which was at first a nerve racking experience for me especially since I cut ties from everyone, stopped doing studies physically within school and everyone at this point had known about my situation regarding Romeo and the baby that I had lost. However, I still went to my graduation with Davion by my side.

A couple of months after graduation, Davion had asked me to be his girlfriend which I of course said yes to. We ended up moving out of the states to Louisiana because I wanted a new start and I felt that living in Florida was just reminding me of my past. Thankfully, Davion felt the same too and we decided to move state together and now we are currently living in our new apartment together. Living our best mother fucking lives.

So many things went day three years ago around this time and I'm very grateful that things in the end had worked out well for me and Clarissa. The day she told me she wanted to report it I was happy for her and supported her throughout the whole process. Bianca and her people had come
with us right at the beginning to support Clarissa which I thought would have been hella awkward but it wasn't, she was being civil and I decided it was best to let her come to me when she was ready to talk things out. I didn't want us to leave things on a bad note. Eventually, after a month she and I spoke things out and we agreed to go our separate ways and be civil with one another which it was the best option for the both of us.

Clarissa decided to finish school online. I on the other hand, decided to stay in school and finish it. I knew I had to act like I didn't know anything concerning Romeo and Clarissa and I thought it would have been tedious to do so. However, after me and his fight we did not speak to each other, so avoiding him was very easy for me. The day I saw him get arrested in school a smirk grew on my face and he caught me. In return he spat at me which thankfully it never hit or touched me but the rest of the school had found out and let's just say Clarissa and Romeo were the hot topic of the school for two months straight. After a while, it died down and it became old news especially since Taniyah and India had fought within the school hallways. We finally graduated and I stuck by Clarissa's side as I knew this was an uneasy situation for her.

I ended up testifying against Romeo in court which I could tell he was shocked and feeling all types of emotions once the truth about me and Clarissa had come out in court but I didn't care because I wanted Clarissa to have her justice especially after the trauma she had to go through with loosing her baby. The court trial was very stressful and uneasy for us all but in the end the judge sentenced Romeo to 35 years in prison and the relief on Clarissa's face made me feel content. 

After we had graduated, I asked Clarissa to be my girl and we then moved to Louisiana where we got an apartment together and are currently living well away from everyone. Starting a fresh and new lifestyle was the best decision me and Clarissa has ever made.
