It had been non-stop rain season for the past few days, making it hard to leave their humble abode to find supplies for themselves. In the midst of gloomy rainy weather, clinging onto one another was all they had to make them feel the sun against their skin, the older boy tried desperately to protect his younger sister.
Segmental heterochromatic eyes of midnight blue and darkened indigo peered downwards at her cowering body. Their formerly warm bodies weren't going to be enough this time, and she was already as sick as one could get. But he couldn't leave her. He feared that if he left her then he may never come back.
Clutching onto her even more tightly now, he chewed at his inner cheek. 'I can't leave in this weather...I can't even leave in the morning,' grounding his teeth, the younger boy felt warm tears begin to pool within his eyes. 'Damnit...! Damnit...! If only...if only...'
His eyes widened as he looked upwards upon the sound of the rain suddenly becoming more evident than before, and light blinded his eyes. 'Miko...! I have to protect, Miko...!'
