With Non finally out of their lives and Freen recovering well, life was slowly returning to normal for Freen and Becky. They were beginning to enjoy the peace they had fought so hard for. However, a new challenge was about to test their relationship.

One sunny afternoon, as Freen and Becky were lounging in their garden, the doorbell rang. Freen got up to answer it and was greeted with a tight hug from Faye, her long-time friend.

"Freen! It's been so long!" Faye exclaimed, practically bouncing with excitement.

"Faye! It's so good to see you!" Freen responded, equally enthusiastic.

Becky watched from a distance, her smile faltering slightly as she observed the closeness between Freen and Faye. She knew they had been friends for years, but seeing them together now stirred unexpected feelings of jealousy.

Faye joined them in the garden, her animated conversation and constant touching of Freen making Becky increasingly uncomfortable. She tried to stay engaged, but the knot in her stomach tightened with every laugh and shared memory between Freen and Faye.

Later that evening, as they prepared for bed, Becky's unease finally bubbled to the surface. "Freen, can we talk?"

Freen looked up from her phone, a hint of irritation crossing her face. "Sure, love. What's on your mind?"

Becky hesitated, then took a deep breath. "It's about Faye. I can't help but feel...jealous of how close you two are. She's very touchy with you, and it makes me uncomfortable."

Freen's expression shifted to one of confusion and defensiveness. "Becky, Faye and I have been friends for a long time. There's nothing to worry about. You're overreacting."

Becky felt a pang of hurt at Freen's dismissal. "I'm not overreacting. I trust you, but Faye doesn't seem to care about how her actions affect me. It feels like she's trying to come between us."

Freen sighed, her frustration evident. "Faye isn't trying to come between us. She's just being herself. You need to stop being so insecure."

The sharpness in Freen's tone cut Becky deeply. She turned away, tears welling in her eyes. "I thought you'd understand. I guess I was wrong."

For the next few days, tension lingered between them. Freen continued to spend time with Faye, seemingly oblivious to Becky's discomfort. Faye's constant presence and clingy behavior only fueled Becky's feelings of jealousy and isolation.

One evening, after another strained dinner with Faye, Becky couldn't hold back any longer. "Freen, we need to talk. This isn't working."

Freen frowned, irritation flashing in her eyes. "What now, Becky?"

"Your closeness with Faye is driving a wedge between us. I feel like I'm competing for your attention, and it's tearing me apart," Becky said, her voice trembling with emotion.

Freen threw her hands up in exasperation. "I don't understand why you're making such a big deal out of this. Faye is just a friend!"

Becky's frustration boiled over. "She's more than just a friend to you, Freen! She's always touching you, always around, and you don't seem to care how it makes me feel. Can't you see that?"

Freen stared at Becky, her expression hardening. "Maybe you're the one who needs to change, Becky. If you can't trust me, then what's the point of us?"

The words hung in the air like a heavy weight. Becky felt her heart shatter at Freen's coldness. "I can't do this anymore," she whispered, turning away.

Freen stood there, torn between anger and regret. She watched as Becky retreated to their bedroom, feeling a mix of guilt and confusion.

The next morning, Becky woke up to an empty bed. Freen had already left for the day. As she went through her routine, Becky's mind was a whirlwind of emotions. She loved Freen deeply, but the situation with Faye was pushing her to her breaking point.
