The Bad Girls Weakness
"Are you going to Sammy's party tonight?" Kendall asked me as we walked down the school hallway.
"I don't know, he's sort of a wanker." I chuckled, fixing my bag on my shoulder, she chuckled as well.
"Ah well, let me know if you do wanna go. If not I'm going to the club or something." She said running a hand through her hair.
"Do you wanna go?" I asked, peering over at her.
"Kinda," She said, not looking at me. I nodded, and glared down the hallway as a kid was headed my way.
"Okay, meet me at my house at 5 o'clock." I said, before she turned the corner toward the gym. Kendall was my best friend, we'd known each other since third grade, when I tried to push her off a slide. She had stood up to me, and in my almost 18 years, had been the only one to have the guts. I had immediately befriended her, and beside from our small gang, she's the only one I had.
"Avery! I need your help with something!" I heard a male voice in front of me. I let out a sigh, as I looked the kid in the eye.
"Bugger off." I grunted, still walking.
"It involves dirty work." He said, quieter. I stopped in my tracks turning toward him, with a smirk plastered on my face.
"And what can I do for you Alec?" I sneered, letting him walk beside me.
"It's my ex, she's gone completely bonkers! She's having people stalk me, and won't take the hint that we're over with." He sighed, running a hand through his platinum blond hair. I nodded, and stopped in front of Mr. Lancaster's room.
"Fine, go to Sam's party tonight, I have an idea." I said, sending a small wink towards him. I walked into class, obviously late and sat in my seat at the far back.
"Ms. Griffin, you're late." He said, sending me a look.
"I'm aware." I replied bored. Class went by slowly, and soon enough lunch rolled by.
"I wonder if you and David would get along? Yanno, you're both badasses, and don't listen to a thing anyone says. It's like you're made for each other."
I scoffed rolling my eyes, "In his dreams. He's immature and I don't need some dumb guy in my life."
"Says the one who spray painted Peter Pan on a store building wall." She said shaking her head.
I glared at her, "Peter Pan is pretty cool."
We sat down at our table soon to be accompanied by Kyle and James, "Hey." They said in unison.
I nodded my head slightly at them, telling them I've acknowledged them, and Kendall started a conversation with them. "I need a smoke." I said, standing and heading for the cafeteria door. I walked outside, pulling out my box of cancer sticks.
"Seems we had the same idea." I heard beside me.
"David." I said flatly.
"Avery." He said mockingly.
I sent a glare at him, "It would do you well to not talk to me." I said, looking out into the trees.
"And why would I do that?" He asked, smirking at me.
"Well, first I could ruin your life with a snap of my fingers, second because I don't like you nor the thought of you." I replied not looking towards him.
He didn't say anything, so after I finished I walked back in. "Avery!" I heard behind me. I turned at the sound of my brothers voice, and hit a hard chest. I glared up into green eyes, stepping away from his body.
