Being True

Godspeed.

I think honesty and compassion that flow through literature and messages contain sentimental value that must be held dear in our hearts. Words, letters, sentences, and paragraphs aren't only supposed to be read and seen, they should be validated and understood with the purest intention and emotions.

I'm writing these because of the things I've learned and felt, and as time goes on, I realize how corrupt everyone and everything in this world can be. Although something we can change is the way we see, hear, and think.

If we keep our dreams and ambitions to ourselves, then nobody can shoot them down. If we keep our loved ones close, then nobody can take them from us or hurt them. Privacy is better than publicity, and I strongly stand by that and ignore all the blasphemy others spit through their mouths and tongues.

Many spend 12 to 16 years in school, letting others rot their brains, steal their attention, and vandalize their souls. The best subject to learn about isn't English or science, although it's ourselves. We, as humans, have been gifted with this life that shouldn't be wasted, the best investment we could make is our life.

We could be the masters of our faith, and the captains of our souls. But in order for you to be those, you must realize that life comes from you and not at you. I don't entitle this body of texts as a book or a passage. If I'm honest, it's more massive than anything else in this world.

The adults of today will say the youth don't have a clue on what love is and what is true, people may continue to chew on others' points of view but all of that wouldn't seem to matter when all of us meet our "you". Now I'm not a poet nor an author, I'm just a normal person with my faith uncertain, but I fear not for I let things play.

Play how you may? Play in a way I know that everything will be okay and there will be another day, in light and darkness I live by my faith not with normal standards but with standards so high it makes me break. I don't want to be good, I don't want to be okay, I want to be great.

We should stop waiting for the right time, but instead we should start being the right person. If we waste our time chasing butterflies, then the butterflies will fly away, but if we build a garden, the butterflies will come to us.
