The days leading up to my entrance exam have been nothing short of exhausting. Every morning, I pull myself out of bed and head to school, where I study for my written exam when I have free time. After school, I go home to change into my training clothes, then head to the woods to train for hours. Once back home, I take a quick shower and fall asleep instantly. Despite my relentless training, I can't shake the feeling that I'm not ready for whatever the entrance exam has in store.

The exam is tomorrow morning. I should probably get some rest I think as I reposition my head on the pillow and head to sleep.

When I wake up, I lie in bed for a good ten minutes, trembling with a mix of fear and excitement. It's too early to tell which is which. Finally, I drag myself up and get ready. When I go downstairs, I make breakfast and a protein shake. With time to spare, I sit on the porch, letting the sun warm my skin while I sip water, since my quirk is plant manipulation I have to treat my body the same as a plant, if I don't get sunlight and stay hydrated my quirk won't be strong. Watching the time on my phone, I think about how it takes twenty minutes by train to get to U.A. My mother refuses to drive me, and she's convinced my dad not to either, though he did slip me some money for the train ticket. It's a ten-minute walk to the station, and I plan to study a little bit more while on the train.

As I walk, my mind is flooded with "what ifs."

What if I don't get in?

What if the written exam is too hard?

What if I bomb the practical exam and everyone laughs at me?

The questions make my head spin. So much so that I forget to breathe, feeling light-headed as I walk right into another person.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry! I wasn't paying attention," I blurt out, looking up to apologize. To my absolute shock, I find myself face-to-face with the pro hero Kamui Woods. He made his debut only four years ago, and he's one of my favorites nkt surprising considering that we both have nature quirks.

"It's no problem. Are you alright?" he asks, concerned.

"I'm fine, Mr. Woods. I'm a big fan," i say. Really Y/N? Mr woods? I mentally scold my self for sounding so stupid.

"It's always nice to meet a fan, but you can just call me Kamui Woods," he says, extending his hand.

"What's your name, young lady?"

"Y/N, Y/N Nakamura," I reply, shaking his hand lightly.

"It's Friday; why aren't you in school?" he asks.

"Oh, I'm headed to U.A. to take the entrance exam," I say proudly.

"I don't mean to burst your bubble, but their entrance exam was last month," he points out.

"I know, but they're making an exception for me," I say shyly, feeling a bit embarrassed to have held a conversation with my favorite hero this long.

"Well, I hope you get in, Nakamura. I have to finish my patrol now," he says with a wave.

"Thank you! Goodbye!" I call out, waving back. I glance at my phone and realize my train leaves in five minutes. Panicking, I shove my phone into my pocket and sprint toward the train station. I make it just in time, running into the train as the doors close. Thankfully, it's relatively empty. I take a seat and try to steady my breathing, heart pounding from how fast I ran here. Once I calmed myself, I pull out my notebook and flashcards to study. The train ride is entirely to short, I only have time to get through half off my flash cards before we arrive. I gather my things and step off the train.
