The K/DA girls sat around huddled on the couch with each other. Their eyes forward not a word leaving their mouthes as they watched the detective take a seat in front of them. He leaned forward his hands clasping together smelling of cheap cigarets and alcohol. His tired eyes gazing at the girls. They looked expectantly hands clasping one another looking for any form of comfort they could. The girls missing a valuable member of their team. Ahri squeezed Kai'sa and Evelynn's hands. They squeezed back.

The man before them called ahead saying he had news about Akali. Their friend, practically sister, had been missing for months. A simple bike ride gone wrong. They checked the usual suspects of kidnapping and such but ran many blanks. The news had covered the story a bunch of times in the last few months. The band's music screeching to a halt. They couldn't continue without her. No matter how hard their directors tried to get them back in action they refused.

They were scared. For their friend. 'What happened to her? Where did she go? Were they next? Was she even alive?' These questions plagued them every day. And now before them was finally answers they were searching for.

"Is she..." Ahri's voice broke, just thinking about her friend alone and no longer a part of this word made her choke up. The man looked up at them and sighed out rushing his hair back.

"She's alive. We found her, albeit she's a little worse for wear."

The words felt like weight being lifted from the groups hearts as Kai'sa released first her tears streaming down her face. Ahri soon followed as Evelynn hugged the two closely as smiles filled their faces.

"What happened to her? Where is she now?" Evelynn was the first to ask as the man stood up. "She's at Piltover Private Hospital getting checked out. But I wanted to warn you girls ahead." They looked up at him confused and concerned. Did something happen to her?

"What?" Ahri asked as he took a deep breath. He crouched down to their height looking them in their eyes. "There is a very good chance that girls will be nothing like what you remember her to be like. What has happened to her, what she went through... People change, drastically after these things happen. It's hard to explain. So we have an escort outside ready to take you so you can see for yourself." He said as worry once again filled the girls stomachs. The weight returning once more.

"When you're ready we can leave."

The hospital was covered with security. More than the group would usually have. But circumstances necessitated it. The girls walked through the halls as doctors and nurses were kept back so they had a clear way through. Their own private security escorting them with the detective.

"Isn't this a bit much?" Kai'sa asked as he looked over his shoulder back at them. "Akali wasn't just missing, she was held captive. When our search teams found her she had somehow escaped from her captor. Clothe-less and badly wounded. When we investigated the supposed area she was being held at we found nothing. It's as if the forest wasn't letting us through. So because of these strange circumstances we're taking active measures to ensure her safety and yours."

The girls looked to each other as they held hands. They were finally going to see their friend once more. But would she still be Akali or someone else entirely? They had to know for certain. The found the room in question but were moved to one next to it. They filed into the dark room with a glass panel.

"Why are we in here? I thought we were going to see Akali?" Evelynn asked as she seemed rather on edge, it was understandable after everything that had happened. She wasn't exactly trusting of people.

"She's currently talking with our investigators inside. We've finally made some headway and she's talking so we want to make sure we get as much detail as possible to find who did this to her." The detective said as he pressed a button. The girls watched in stunned horror seeing Akali laying in a bed on the other side of the glass.
