A marriage??

In the meeting chamber of Maharaj Sudarshan , sat he and Avanti naresh with dead silence. No one uttered a single word after what Avanti naresh said. Maharaj Sudarshan was deep in thoughts calculating everything.

" Dasi!!" He called a maid standing outside "tell your Maharani to prepare for her eldest's wedding. Send invitations to allover the Aryavrat without thinking about friendship or rivalry. The whole world should be invited in my son's wedding" announced Sudarshan.

Avanti naresh engulfed him in a tight hug.

" I can't tell you how grateful I am to you mitr" he said breaking the hug.

" It's my good fortune to get your daughter as my kulvadhu mitr" Sudarshan said .

" What???" It was Avantika who shouted at the dasi which informed her about both king's decision.

" Rajkumar calm down " Chandrika tried to calm her down.

" How can I Chandrika? I ran from one marriage and they are pushing me into another " she shouted , rage pouring through her voice.

" There must be some reason for this Rajkumari. We should talk to pita shri " Chandrika tried to reason. Avantika too calmed down and started their journey to their respective fathers.

God knows how jyest will react to this news. She thought almost running to her father.

" Putri thank God you came on the right time. See Rajkumar Suryajeet agreed for this marriage " Avanti naresh announced happily. Chandrika's eyes almost pop out. Did she heard him right? She turned to her bhrata Sushobhit who was standing with the same surprised look. That means her brother actually agreed. But what about Avantika? She is not the one to listen up anything.

Before Avantika could protest Chandrika asked" May I ask the reason of this sudden marriage pita shri?"

Sudarshan understood his children's mind properly as he decided to tell them everything that happened.

" Putri! Avantikanya ran away from her swayamvar. After this no one would have married her knowing she ran away from her own swayamvar. Beside this many people had seen her and Suryajeet travelling together on one horse. This news will spread like forest fire in few days. If we didn't marry them then it will become threat for both Sursen and Avanti. " Sudarshan's voice was calm and relaxed.

Chandrika turned to Avantika who stood like a statue. She could say from her face that Avantika is thinking something. She must be fighting with her own self for deciding to run away.

Then Chandrika's eyes found her jyest who seemed in distress. How can he not be? On one side it's his kingdom, his reputation and on the other is the wish of a Rajkumari, her whole life. If he marries her, she will live a life of pride but without love and if he don't marry her than she will become the prey of this cruel orthodox world.

" Ahm" Sushobhit cleared his throat to gain everyone's attention " so, on the occasion of my jyest's marriage, I would like to present a gift to my bhabhi shri"

He started going toward Avantika who looked confused. Sushobhit forwarded Suryajeet's hand and gave it to Avantika.

"This is the biggest gift you can get bhabhi shri. " Sushobhit looked at his brother from head to toe" almost 6'9 in height and God knows how much in weight " everyone laughed at his words. He makes the environment lighter in seconds. But two people were still dead serious.

Suryajeet and Avantika were looking at each other with rage, guilt, acceptance and so many undefined emotions.
