"Bees."
"B-Bees..?"
"Bees." Kafka nonchalantly uttered as her locker emanated an incessant, low droning. The much shorter, silver-haired girl looked up at her, brows furrowed in confusion.
"Did you chec-"
"Yes. I did. It's bees." She said matter-of-factly.
Silve Wolf could barely read the expression on Kafka's face, she was just blankly staring at her conspicuously buzzing locker. That's just one of the many things Silver Wolf finds scary about her; how she can never tell how she's actually feeling. Before she could even open her mouth to speak, Kafka's blank gaze shifted to that of a practiced, warm smile.
"It looks like someone tried to pull a little prank on us." As much as she tried to hide her ire behind her subtle grin, the malice that dripped from her words betrayed her true emotions. The tension in the air was asphyxiating. Silver Wolf's foot tapped erratically on the floor as her mind ran through innumerable escape plans.
Damn it, she's doing that thing again where she's so angry she can't do anything but smile...
The weight of the air around them grew unbearable. Silver Wolf gulped, mustering all her courage to cleave the silence.
"Do you need me to... find out who did this?"
Kafka's head snapped to face her in a fraction of a second.
"Yes dear, I'd very much appreciate that." She said without pauses. Kafka's clockwork response left Silver Wolf momentarily stunned.
"You need help cleani-"
"No, thank you. I can deal with this."
"Alright then..." Silver Wolf began discreetly shuffling away. Within seconds, she was down the hall. As soon as she turned the corner, she broke into a full-speed sprint, heaving a sigh of relief having escaped with her life.
