Narrator :

Over the next week Adira and Angel became friends (which surprised everyone) the both of them tried to be less fake with each other, although neither of them said anything about their past or traumas or really anything like that.

Adira's pov:

Holy shit, I'm actually friends with Angel. I guess what they say is right, anything really is possible. It's nice to be able to talk to him without him being flirty and stupid. Okay, he is sometimes still like that but it's much more bearable. Of course I care about him like a friend, just as a friend, and nothing's more than a friend, right?

Angel's pov:

Being friends with Adira is actually quite nice, she isn't as cold or grumpy as I thought. Although she never mentions anything about her life but I can't blame her, I don't talk about mine either, maybe it was just really shitty. That would explain why she is so closed off, and whatever was making her shake so bad that night, maybe a nightmare? I care about her, like a friend obviously. Not like Adira would fall in love, she's quite good at not falling in love, lucky her, she wasn't stupid enough to get tricked into selling her soul to a crazy psycho. I looked down at my arms gently removing the gloves, bruises and rope marks were there. I sighed and pulled my gloves back on, I went up to the roof of the hotel, sat down and looked into the distance. I was kinda glad Adira didn't fall in love easily, meant she wasn't so gullible. Not like I'd fall in love with her right?

Narrator:

Adira went up to the roof and sat next to Angel

"Mind if I join ya?" she asked. Angel smiled at said
"I don't mind at all" she smiled back at him they were just happy. They were safe as long as they had each other, right?

A/n: hope y'all enjoyed, but be prepared, it's about to get better
