After a long summer of practicing Arthur was ready to participate in another match. Arthur was ready at the first hole. He took a couple practice swings and lined up to hit the ball. He hit the ball exactly how and where he wanted it. He finished his second golf match of his life with a -6 under and continued winning until in became winter. He finished the fall with 10 wins. In the spring he was going to join his high school golf team. During the winter Arthur couldn't really do much to improve his golf game since the courses were closed and his city didn't have a driving range. He would instead watch golf on TV like usual and see how professional golfers played and reflect on how he played. For Christmas Arthur got a Nike golf club set and the putter his dad used during his PGA career. When golf season for the high school came around he joined the team. He could now practice on a course every day except the weekends. His first match for his school was a week after the first day of practice. Arthur didn't realize that he was going to meet his rival during his match. He met his rival on the tee on the 1st hole. He was paired with Peter Hopkins. Peter was the best golfer in the state of Minnesota. Peter came out on the first hole with a birdie. Arthur got a bogey. He ended the front 9 with a +5. He thought of his dad's quote from last year. He played better than ever before. He became tied with Peter going into the 18th with -1. Peter and Arthur both had a excellent tee shot. Arthur's second shot landed on the green while Peter's just short. His dad was watching him while Arthur lined up to hit the winning putt. Arthur lined up to hit the game winning putt when he heard someone shout, "Call 911." He turned around and saw his dad collapsed on the ground. He raced over to his dad. An ambulance arrived and took his father away. Arthur was told he had to finish the match. He couldn't think. His head wasn't right. He lined up and sank the putt. He didn't care that he won against the best golfer in the state. He cared if his dad was alright.
