Jake didn't venture to the hotel solo this time; he brought Jay along, considering everything they'd been through together.

But his regret began to settle in when he saw Jay giggling with Jia at the reception—or rather, Jia laughing at him rather than with him.

Jake sighed deeply and ran a hand through his hair. That guy can't be near Haein's friends; he's going to be a hassle.

Jake called out to him, "Jjongseong, over here."

Jia couldn't help but giggle as she remarked, "Sir Jay, looks like your friend is looking for you."

"Friends? I don't have friends," Jay retorted casually, though Jake observed the entire exchange with a wry smile.

Seeing Jay's nerves, he took his hand and led him outside. Jay's sunglasses, now askew atop his head, slipped down over his eyes, annoying him.

With an irritated huff, he removed them and hung them on his shirt as Jake guided him towards the garden.

"I need to talk to you about something important," Jake said firmly as they walked.

Jay pulled away from Jake's grip, his tone impatient. "Bro, why the rush? What's going on?"

"If you'd let me finish, I would've told you... I landed a job here," Jake explained, trying to keep his cool.

"Seriously? You could've at least gotten me a gig at the front desk; I've got the charm," Jay quipped with a grin.

 "I started as a dishwasher."

"A dishwasher? But you're an engine guy. Are things that tough?" Jay turned around, scanning the area until he spotted Haein.

His face lit up, and he waved enthusiastically. "Hey, sis-in-law! How's it going?"

Haein's eyes widened in disbelief; she had momentarily forgotten that her fake husband had such an unpredictable friend.
