chapter 4

She stared at her surroundings keenly, she needed to be vary of the creature lurking around especially at night

The bracelet on her wrist shone as it formed a protective layer around her, a spell cast by taehyung and her for their safety.

Her eyes darting towards her surroundings, the sun was setting which made her breath out heavily, she needed to find a safe place for the night.

She reached the border soon as her ears perked up hearing the sound of water flowing and pattering, an earthly smell filling her nostrils

She got off the horse guiding it through the forest, soon she saw a waterfall which glowed with blue light as fireflies surrounded it, her horse neighed making her attach her forehead with it, she sighed looking at her surroundings before sitting on a rock, rubbing her arms together to get rid of the cold, she closed her eyes feeling the earth and snapped her finger as twigs of dry wood flew towards her, setting it on the ground, she shot fire out from her palm, blue flames were formed as she stared at it, the flames turning red with traces of yellow in the very middle

She rubbed her palms feeling the warmth emitting from the fire, hugging her coat tighter towards herself, she started having thoughts in her mind, how will she meet the alpha king? As far as she knows it won't be easy

She's going to scent herself as a warewolf so as to hide her own scent, she searched through her bag finding a glass vial filled with red liquid, she gulped looking at it scrunching her nose, slowly she lay down and dozed off, tiredness washing over her

But the creature watched from far, slowly coming towards her, he crouched down beside her slowly tracing his fingers over her face, she fidgeted uncomfortably as her eyelashes fluttered, she struggled to open her eyes but he cast a spell so that she drifted back to sleep

"just wait for some time, I'll be coming to you soon, and I'll never let you go away from me again, this time not only your power but your soul shall belong to me", his eyes travelled all over her body, his palm slowly going towards her jaw and then neck, his fangs coming out

He leaned closer brushing his fangs against her neck while his hand softly rested on her shoulder, but before he could mark her, he felt immense burn as he backed away from her

Red light shone around her shortly followed by blue and violet lights, he grit his teeth "this can't be?" He thought while going farther from her.

Meanwhile

Jungkook laughed heartily with his brother but he had to go somewhere for a work as jungkook nodded and stood alone in the balcony, locks of his hair fluttering due to the strong breeze

He closed his eyes as the moonlight shone on his face, his features highlighted, but he felt an uneasy feeling and the familiar lights came back, his eyes turning violet, her scent lingered

"mate?" He saw the creature so close that it startled him, he clenched his jaw feeling the creature near to his mate and more precisely, trying to mark her?

Anger filled his veins as the lights intensified, his energy coursing through the link, emitting the strong light which held him off, the creature went away as jungkook sighed in relief but made a fist at the closeness "whoever my mate is, she is surely not ordinary, the way she protected and healed me, she is someone of great power"he closed his eyes in frustration

Only he knew how badly he wanted to meet her and make her his, Just as he was about to lose hope, these lights helped him realise he had a mate but all he knew about her was her scent, he sighed holding his head in frustration

"what's happening, who are you?" He asked muttering to himself but none could give the answer to his question

The night passed and soon the sun rose high in the sky, awaking her as she got up to realise she had fallen asleep, taking a bath in the waterfall, she immediately clothed herself and nudged her horse to wake up softly and mounted on it

Going through the dense forest, her heart felt as if something happened last night but she shrugged it off, she reached for the vial in her bag and drank the potion upon reaching the border and entered it, her scent now that of a Wolf's.

She walked furthur while her muscles tensed up upon hearing the crunch sound of a twig indicating it's breaking.

She immediately scanned her surroundings, but her heart clenched to see a bunny injured badly

She walked to it softly holding it in her arms when it shuddered badly trying to run, she patted it softly "hey little one, it's okay I mean no harm" she spoke softly as the bunny relaxed under her touch, red light glowed around her palm as she healed the bunny, her hood blown by the wind as the bunny looked into her beautiful eyes.

Pecking it's nose, she kept it on the ground and mounted on her horse, just to hear hurried footsteps as she widened her eyes "twinkle?where are you?" She heard a voice making her panic

But before she could go, the person was already in her sight, his eyes checking her "who are you?" He spoke as twinkle jumped in his arms, the man was very handsome, his oval shape, broad shoulders and thin waist, his big plump lips, symmetrical face , his oval almond eyes, she stared at him for a moment, although he was very handsome, she got a brotherly feeling from him

She bowed slightly "I am a foreigner who has come here to meet with my family, sir" she spoke softly while the bunny whispered something in his master's ears as his eyes widened "you healed my pet?thank you very much, but how did you do that?" She fidgeted nervously and stared at the bunny telling through her eyes to agree with what she says as the bunny agreed.

"I had a healing potion with me, in case the creature that has been lurking here decides to attack" the man nodded "may I know your name sir?" She asked as he widened his eyes "you don't know me? The world wide handsome? Aka king kim seokjin?"

She stared at him for a moment trying to remember her general knowledge, there was a little silence before she smiled "ah yeah, I have heard about you, prince Jin" she bowed

He smiled, "need a guide to the kingdom? Afterall you healed my pet twinkle"He asked while being grateful as she smiled nodding her head, he mounted on his horse and guide her, they initiated a small conversation occasionally bursting out in laughter at his jokes

Finally she reached the village as she thanked him while he made his way to the kingdom.

Getting up from her horse, she pat it lovingly "now, wait in the forest for me okay? It's not safe for you here" she spoke as the horse neighed, she tied a safety saddle on it which worked as a barrier, the horse left leaving her alone

She sighed adjusting her cape and wore her hood traveling to the kingdom without being seen by anyone.

And soon, she reached the magnificent castle but her heart started beating fast out of anxiety as she looked here and there, she needed to climb without anyone's consent

Summoning her claws, she dug into the castle's walls and started climbing while hiding from any possible person.

It was difficult but at last she reached at the time of night when almost everyone's  sleeping, she nervously looked around, but she was pinned to the ground "eek", she thought as a dagger was placed against her neck, "who are you? I had never seen you here before" He asked looking at her with squinted eyes, "I am a family member belonging to one of the maids here" she spoke softly as he looked at her cautiously "but I think I know everyone here" her breath hitched when it was pressed harder against her neck "I am sorry, I was just a distant relative, I came here to seek help from my family because my dad had died at the hands of the vicious creature and I don't have anyone anymore" she spoke in one breath creating a story she never thought properly about

His eyes softened looking at her eyes brimming with tears, but the words she said, she could feel the pain of that person who had actually gone through that, he softly caressed her cheek "don't cry, I am sorry" she smiled a little "it's okay, sir?", he looked at her "prince jimin" she nodded her head and bowed at him

He left from there as she breathed heavily in frustration"how many more people will I meet?!", she looked here and there before noticing a room made with the king's crest as a smirk formed on her lips "ah finally"

She entered it with silent steps as the king widened his eyes upon looking at her, she immediately closed his mouth "i am sorry majesty, but I am here to talk with you about the vicious creature, this is important" she spoke softly while he looked at her confused and kept his dagger against her neck.

She rolled her eyes "not again" she thought but halted on her steps, her breath hitched, the familiar scent hitting her nostrils.
