Wei Ying and Lan Zhan settled into a comfortable routine at the resort. Each day was filled with fun activities, from canoeing on the lake to hiking the scenic trails, and evenings were spent around the bonfire with other guests. The bond between them continued to grow, each moment more precious than the last.

One sunny afternoon, Wei Ying and Lan Zhan were lounging by the pool, enjoying the warm summer breeze, when they heard a familiar voice calling out.

"A-Zhan, A-ying, Come here for a moment,"Mrs. Lan called from the porch of the main lodge.

She was standing with a woman who looked strikingly familiar to Wei Ying.

As they approached, Wei Ying's heart skipped a beat.

"Mom?" she called out, recognizing her mother's smiling face.

"Hello, sweetie!" Mrs. Wei said, waving. She looked delighted to see her daughter.

"Mom, what are you doing here?" Wei Ying asked, a mixture of surprise and joy in her voice.

Mrs. Wei hugged her daughter tightly before turning to Mrs. Lan.

"I suppose we should tell them," she said, exchanging a knowing smile with her old friend, Mrs. Lan nodded.

"Lan Zhan, a-ying, there's something you two need to know. Many years ago, before we lost contact, your mother and I were best friends. We shared a dream of creating a beautiful resort together. We started as business partners, but when life took us in different directions, we lost touch. Recently, we reconnected and decided to revive our old dream."

Lan Zhan and Wei Ying looked at each other, astonished.

"So, our families are business partners?" Lan Zhen asked.

"Yes," Mrs. Wei replied. "We decided to merge our efforts to make this resort even better. That's why I'm here—to discuss plans and finalize some details."

The news took a moment to sink in. Wei Ying and Lan Zhan exchanged glances, realizing the implications of their parents' revelation.

"Wow, I had no idea," Wei Ying said, still processing the information.

Mrs. Lan smiled warmly. "We're excited to work together again, and we hope that you two will support us in this new venture. We believe this partnership will make the resort a truly special place."

Lan Zhan grinned. "Of course, we'll support you. Right, Wei Ying?"

Wei Ying nodded enthusiastically. "Absolutely! This is amazing news."

Mrs. Wei and Mrs. Lan beamed at their children's enthusiasm. "We'll be having a meeting with the staff tomorrow to discuss the new changes. We'd love for you both to join us," Mrs. Wei said.

"Count us in," Lan Zhan said, wrapping an arm around Wei Ying's shoulders. "We're in this together."

As the parents headed inside to continue their discussions, Wei Ying and Lan Zhan walked back to the pool, still buzzing with excitement.

"I can't believe our families were connected all along," Wei Ying said, shaking her head in disbelief.

"It's incredible," Lan Zhan agreed. "It feels like everything is falling into place."

That evening, they sat by the lake, talking about the future and what their parents' partnership might mean for them. The more they talked, the more they realized how intertwined their lives had become.

"I guess this explains why our parents hit it off so quickly," Wei Ying mused.

Lan Zhan chuckled. "Yeah, I think they were just waiting for the right moment to tell us."

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a golden glow over the water, Lan Zhan took Wei Ying's hand.

"You know, this summer has already been incredible, but I have a feeling it's going to get even better."

Wei Ying squeezed his hand, her heart full. "Me too, Lan Zhan. Me too."

The next day, the resort buzzed with excitement as everyone gathered for the big meeting. Mrs. Wei and Mrs. Lan stood at the front of the room, their faces glowing with enthusiasm.

"Thank you all for coming," Mrs. Lan began. "We have some exciting news to share. As many of you know, our families have a history of working together, and we're thrilled to announce that we're merging our efforts to make this resort even more special."

Mrs. Wei continued, "We're planning to expand our services, improve the facilities, and create new experiences for our guests. We believe that by combining our strengths, we can create a truly unique destination."

The staff erupted in applause, and Wei Ying and Lan Zhan couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and anticipation.

After the meeting, Wei Ying and Lan Zhan took a walk around the resort, discussing the future and their hopes for the summer. They felt a renewed sense of purpose, eager to support their parents and see their vision come to life.

As they stood by the lake, watching the sun set once again, Wei Ying turned to Lan Zhan, her eyes shining with determination.
