Season 1 Episode 3: Fire

fire a 10 year old and also a set user lived with his parents who didn't love him for being neurodivergent. his mom was barely home and his dad abused the little guy leaving him scared and confused till one day fire had enough and used his set powers to burn the house down along with his parents beyond his control... the next day future and christmas were hanging out together outside walking around the neighborhood now that christmas was fully informed about what happened to dark

Future "hey christmas have you seen the news yesterday?"

Christmas "i don't watch the news.. i thought news was only on paper?"

Future "well it can be on paper.. but also on tv! yesterday a house was burned down suspiciously... it's no very far from us so i was thinking we could check it out!"

Christmas "hmm alright! lead the way!"

future and christmas power up and fly over to the burnt down house within seconds as they had a birds eye view on where to go. they landed down across the street from the house and reverted to base. caution tape surrounded the house preventing people from going in

Future "gosh there's nothing left of it.."

Christmas "it's like a pile of ash!"

Future "yeah i don't think anyone will bother rebuilding a new one. they'll probably remove the remains..."

Christmas "i hope whoever lived there is okay..."

Fire "you wished for the people that hurt me to be okay?!"

future and christmas turned around quick. fire was standing right behind them and has a serious expression on

future "w-woah where did you come from?!"

christmas "y-yeah i hope they'll be alright. the poor owners don't have a home now..."

Fire "the owners?! you're more concerned about them?!"

fire raised his voice at christmas getting more angry

Fire "i lived here too! and the owners you're talking about were just a bunch of meanies! but now they're no more..."

future and christmas were confused by what fire meant but they noticed the red set he had on wrist

Christmas "hey you're a set user too! that's great!"

fire looks down at his wrist and smirks

Fire "CHARGE!!!"

future and christmas takes a few steps back feeling frightened as fire transforms in front of them wearing a red suit. his hair goes up in red flames

Christmas "h-his hair! it's on fire!!!"

Future "f-fire powers...? it was you who burnt that house down! it must've been you!"

Future powers up transforming as well as fire grins at the blue suit and caped boy

Fire "yeah and you'll be next if you tell anyone! i won't let anyone hurt me the way they did again!"

in an instant Fire shoots a large amount of fire at the boys but they managed to dodge it by future picking little christmas up and flying up in the sky

Future "you okay christmas? hopefully he won't get us from all the way up here right?"

fire uses the palm of his hands making them face the ground and blasts more fire out of them skyrocketing upwards towards them

Christmas "HE CAN FLY TOO!!!!"

future flys off with christmas with fire following closely behind

Christmas "he's catching up! what do we do?!"

future noticed this and flys back down landing quickly placing four year old christmas on the ground

Future "stay here christmas!"

the boy in blue would then fly back up meeting up with fire in the sky as they have a stand off

Future "this has got to be a misunderstanding! but if you wanna fight then fight me alone!"

Fire "you sure you even know how to fight?"

fire flys towards future again and blasts another fire attack at him but future managed to doge out of the way and then he doges the next one, and the next one

Fire "quit moving and fight back already!"

future doges as many blasts as he could in the air before fire had gotten so close to future that his palm was directly against future's chest getting ready to blast him

Fire "TAKE THIS"

right when future was about to get his be unlocked a new ability and teleported right behind fire before the attack could hit him

Christmas "d-did he teleport?!"

christmas was watching the battle from the ground as fire turns around and tries to hit him with the same fire attack but future teleports behind him again

Future "i can teleport!!!"

Fire was getting insanely furious. he extends his arms directly across from each other before putting them together in front of him for one big attack directly at future

Fire "i'm putting all of my energy into this!!! FIRE BURST!!!!!!!!"

an extreme amount of fire explodes out of fire's hands shooting it at future with terrible aim but enough energy to make the flaming blast so big that it can still hit future

Future "teleportation!"

future teleports out of the way at the last second avoiding the blast and appearing behind fire once more who was out of energy after that last attack

Fire "y-you coward..."

fire reverts from his fiery modern form to his base falling from the sky back down but future teleports to the ground and catches fire before he could've possibly gotten hurt

Fire "y-you saved me? why?"

Future "we just wanna talk.. is that okay with you?"

christmas runs over to future and fire and future reverts back to base himself letting fire stand up on his own

Fire "i-i'm sorry... i was out of control... i've been hurt so many times i wasn't sure how else to act... no one has tried to help me like you did when i was falling"

fire sobs uncontrollably as future and christmas give the 10 year old a hug supporting him

Future "we won't hurt you we promise! you're an amazing and powerful set user! will it make you feel better if we be friends?"

Fire "friends? i don't have any of those... that wouldn't be so bad. i'm Fire!"

Christmas "nice to meet you fire! i'm christmas and he's future! how come you burned your house down?"

Fire "my parents were very neglectful and mean... they thought i was useless when i'm much more than that! yesterday my powers acted on its own taking them out along with my home... leaving no traces of them at all"

Future "we're so sorry that happened to you. do you have a place to stay now?"

Fire "yeah i can go see my uncle. i always go see him when i wanna eat! i'm sure he can give me a tent to live in but he's quite busy so he won't be able to take care of me forever! in fact i'll go visit him now! i wanna tell him that i made new friends!"

Future "okay be safe! we'll meet with you again some time soon"

as it was getting late the set users waved to each other goodbye and headed their separate ways heading home planning and hoping to meet really soon
