Season 1 Episode 4: Chef

fire was on his way to his uncle's restaurant. his uncle was a very reliable and busy chef owning and working the entire restaurant on his own

Fire : i sure hope uncle chef isn't too busy

as it was getting dark outside fire had finally made it to the restaurant. he knocks on the restaurant door which was just about to close. he made it just in time

Chef : we're about to close who is it?

chef opens the door and spots his nephew and goes to give him a hug

Chef : fire! i was expecting to see you after what happened on the news, are you okay? tell me what happened?

Chef takes fire inside and closes the restaurant for the day. the two sits down at an empty table to discuss what happened

Fire : mom and dad are dead. you can't tell anyone but it was because of me... i had enough of the abuse and my set acted out of control

chef too was also a set user and he could understand his nephews pain

Chef : don't feel too bad fire i should've been there to really help. i'm sorry. you did what you had to in the moment

Fire : it's alright i don't feel bad about it at all. but now i'm not sure where i should stay...

chef knew this would be fire's case as the boy had never even been enrolled in school to learn anything useful when living on his own

Chef : tonight you can stay here. but i'm afraid you won't be able to stay everyday because of my busy schedules. but you're free to visit. i'll cook you something up to eat right away as well!

Fire : thank you uncle chef!

the uncle smiles at his nephew. his set would then glow white

Chef : CHARGE

he transforms as a white suit had appeared on him as well as a white chef hat on top of his head. his set powers would be the reason why he's able to run a restaurant all by himself

Chef : now that tell me what you want to eat?

Fire : mac & cheese! pasta! fries! and a milkshake!

Chef : t-that's an interesting combo of food... very well!

chef snaps his fingers using his powers to create the food fire desired right out of thin air. displaying the food on the table

Chef : bon appetit!

Fire : yum uncle chef! looks delicious!

fire wastes no time and digging in as chef reverts to base smiling happy at his nephew. he was always happy to feed people in need for free. helping is what set users always do best.

Fire : thanks for the meal uncle!

Chef : you're welcome fire. helping is in our nature

as fire got done eating he would also tell his uncle about future and christmas. the two young set users he met and quickly became friends with

Chef : they're set users huh? how nice it's great that you made friends! especially set users... i've been seeing that their quite common in this town more than others

Fire : yeah i think i'll be sticking around with them more often, i never would imagined that i'd actually get the chance to make friends

Chef : you can tell me more about them tomorrow. i think you should get some sleep now hmm?

fire nods his head agreeing as chef take him to the back of the restaurant where their was a hidden cosy bedroom for fire to rest for the night

Chef : if you need anything fire i'll be upstairs in my room alright,

fire nods and gives his uncle a hug

Fire : Thanks again Chef!

Chef : anytime fire, you're the man

the next day fire had overslept. the restaurant was already packed with people and chef was working hard to provide for all of them

Fire : hmmm... what's all that noise?

fire slowly gets up out of bed and gets ready for the day. when he exited his room he was shocked to see so many people. his uncle was so busy it was hard for fire to grab his attention

Fire : u-uh good morning u-uncle chef! uncle chef?

Fire taps his shoulder grabbing his attention

Chef : yes fire? i'm a bit busy right now what is it?

Fire : would you like some help? i could write down orders if it'll make things easier on you. it's the least i can do for all of your help

Chef : t-that would be great Fire. you sure you can do it?

fire nods his head with determination and readiness. the uncle and nephew duo worked hard together providing for the customers till the orders had finally slowed down giving them time for a break

Chef : thanks fire you did better out there than i expected

Fire : thanks! and thank you for letting me stick around and help. but too much work happens here. i think it's time for me to go

Chef : alright fire i trust you to handle yourself out in the big world. i'm sure you'll achieve great things. do you need anything before you go?

Fire : a strong tent is all i need, do you have one for me

chef nods his head and looks through the supply room. he grabbed an orange bag that had all the pieces he needed to set up his tent

Chef : here you go little man. the rest is up to you. and don't hesitate to stop visit and stop by for anything. i would love for you to help around more as well!

Fire : sure thing! i'll be sure to visit!

fire takes his tent bag waving goodbye to his uncle not getting the chance to talk more about his friends as he makes his way out of the restaurant and off into the world wondering what future and christmas were doing at this time..
