She parks her car before seeing ten matte black BMW X5 cars parked next to the house and some on the neighbours' pavements.
She exhales as she switches off her car's ignition, she opens the car door and gets out before closing the door.
She sees huge men carrying different guns next to them as she locks her car and walks towards the house.
She opens the gate and walks in. Closes the gate and walks as she reaches the front door.
She covers her mouth to yawn before a guard stops her and she smirks."Sorry ma'am but I am going to need to search you."
"Okay."She says and sighs as she gives the man her handbag and the lady searches her until she sees Mathapelo's face.
"Shit! Give her the bag back JJ, she's the one Mr and Mrs Bellingham are waiting for."The lady bodyguard says and the man looks at Mathapelo and widens his eyes.
Mathapelo frowns her eyes as she is given her bag quickly and the door opens for her.
She walks into the house and sees her mom, three aunts and three people she doesn't know but seem familiar sitting in the living room.
"Mom s-"The guy, Jobe and her make eye contact. She widen her eyes as she looks at her mother and her aunts.
"Mathapelo please sit down, we have something we want to tell you."Her mother's first cousin (Lisa) says and she walks towards the dining room table and takes one chair as she puts it next to the three seater as she holds her bag closely to her.
"Uhm- this is not easy for us to say this but we will make it easy. You are sitting next to Mr and Mrs Bellingham-they are going to be your new parents but they are your in-laws and that is there son, Jobe."
Mathapelo and Jobe make eye contact and Mathapelo looks away with her head bowed she just busted out laughing and then lifts her eyes and tears flow down when she makes eye contact with her mother (Samantha)
"It is so sad that you find happiness in my pain and hurt and then you have the audacity to sit here and act like a victim."Mathapelo says as she looks at Samantha and while Samantha wipes her eyes.
"This is not her fault."Mrs Bellingham says as she tries to reason with Mathapelo and Mathapelo looks at her with her look that causes Jobe to frown his eyes. "Oh sorry. "The woman says and Mathapelo scoffs.
"Why are the Bellingham family here?"Mathapelo asks and her aunts and her mother gets up to leave.
She looks at Mr Bellingham and they make eye contact. "Uhm- your mother used to work for my grandfather who was the owner of a famous company and she took out a loan in exchange that if she cannot pay for it then the first borns will get married so basically you are going to marry my first born son. "Mr Bellingham explains and then Mathapelo breaks eye contact as she does not want to show vulnerability.
Her phone rings and she immediately takes it out of the bag.
She sees it is her friend calling and slides the answer button. "Hey."She says as she feels a huge lump on her throat.
"Hey, can you please come get your car?"She says as she speaks sepedi because she doesn't want people to be nosy.
"I thought I will get it tomorrow through and why does it sound like you are about to cry. "Her friend says and she quickly wipes her tears.
"I don't trust these people with your car. I am leaving the country Khloe."
"You don't t-"
"I am being forced to leave the country Khloe so please, if the car gets damaged wh-"
"I want the whole story of why are you leaving so suddenly."
"Just get here so you can get the car because the things I am hearing here."Mathapelo says and gets up to walk to her childhood bedroom. She sees a lady zipping two bags.
"Okay give me five minutes."
"Cool."The call ends and goes into the room, she takes off her heels and climbs the bed as she opens her cupboards and sees the boxes.
She takes the boxes and sees that everything is still in there. She gets off the bed and opens the closet. "I had everything packed for you."Jobe says and she nods her head.
"Did the owner of the house help you?"
"She did but I told her we are fine."
"Did she take anything she didn't need to take."
"She didn't."The bodyguard says and Mathapelo narrows her eyes to both of them.
"Trust her, I was there when she was here looking around."
"You say trust and then the person decides to break it."Mathapelo says as she wears her heels, she takes her handbag and box in one hand.
She holds the one suitcase but Jobe and the lady bodyguard stop her as they both help push them.
She walks past everyone like they don't matter and she opens the door and walks into the yard to see her friend, Khloe and the brother, Michael.
"Mathapelo and then?"Khloe asks and Mathapelo starts to tear up.
"Here are the car keys and this box has twenty thousand so buy the apartment I wanted to buy."Mathapelo says and Khloe hugs so tightly as Mrs and Mr Bellingham come out of the house with Samantha and Lisa as they see Khloe and Mathapelo crying.
"I love you so much, don't forget that."Khloe says and Mathapelo nods her head."You still have your passport and ID, right?"
"I forgot to ev-"Samantha says but Mathapelo cuts her off.
"Don't worry it is in the box."Mathapelo says answering Khloe while Samantha looks down at her hands."I am going to miss you. Can't believe I am going."
"Greet him for me."Khloe says and Mathapelo smacks her lips and then looks at Micheal.
"See you big bro."
"No problem. I love you sis."
"I love you both, group hug?"Mathapelo says and the two siblings embrace her in a warm hug.
"Don't forget to give me the brother's number."Khloe says and Micheal looks at her before they both bust out laughing.
"Bye guys."Mathapelo says and the two wave goodbye and Mathapelo sighs as she looks at the house and exit.
She had so many plans for the week ahead and now she has to reschedule her podcast and Nike unboxing.
They drive silently as Jobe, Mr and Mrs Bellingham keep an eye on Mathapelo as she decides to type an explanation to Khloe about the arranged marriage.
