Chapter 37 - Forgotten

Wayne lost words, he was disappeared for 44 years.

" Are you alright ? " asked Allen

" Yeah.... Yeah..... I'm ok " Wayne replied

" I know it's hard,it's a lot to take. " said Allen

" Yeah .. it's fine, I'm ok. I mean there is no one waiting for me there. " said Wayne

" Can you tell me how did you got here ?" asked Allen " Maybe we can find a way to get back. "

Wayne started to explain everything

" Wait.... Wait .... " Allen interrupted Wayne " Did you say Emily ? "

" Yeah, Emily ! Do you know her ? " asked Wayne

" No, not in person. But she is the reason I'm here too. So, you went into the portal with Emily while working on the secret facility ? That makes you the Janitor. " said Allen

" Yeah I was. So you know about me too ? " asked Wayne

" No ! Not really. Outside world believes that everyone in the lab died that night. There are only a few people who know about Emily and the Portal. "

" I'm sorry to say this, but no one knew you. The few people I talked about knew Emily went into the portal with a janitor, however, most of them didn't even know your name. " said Allen

Allen looked at Wayne, and he was smiling.

" Did Emily come back ? You said you came here because of her too. " asked Wayne

" No.... After your disappearance, Albert, Emily's colleague, was on a mission to find her. "

" A year after the incident the facility shut down. Soon after, the government revealed the existence of aliens to the world. "

" They made the world believe that the alien body from the facility that the scientists were studying came back to life and killed everyone. Emily sacrificed herself for everyone's sake by containing it in the vault until it died. She became a hero, a monumental figure. "

" Albert and his friends created a new organisation with their determination and hard work, FIESTAA "

" While working for the organization, Mr. Albert sent me on a secret mission, which led me here. He suspected Emily might be alive. He calculated the time the portal would reopen, and I was sent to investigate it. Someone then knocked me out and I ended up here. " said Allen

" Emily become the hero and nobody even knew I existed " Wayne laughed " well.... she was a hero, she saved my life. "

" What happened to you ? " asked Allen

" I followed Emily into the portal after the monster threw her in. When we were there, the portal closed, so we tried to hide. Then a different portal opened and Emily stayed on the other side to save me. " said Wayne

" Where did the first portal lead ? " asked Allen

" I don't know, it was dark. We were inside some sort of structure. Whatever it was, it was massive. " replied Wayne

" The facility was in Alaska, is there a possibility that the portal lead you outside ? " asked Allen

" No I don't think so. I believe we were somewhere else. "  Wayne replied

They talked for a while longer. Still, Wayne kept a few key details from Allen. He didn't tell him about the sword or the device.

" Hey you hungry ? " asked Allen
