Second chapter,

"The business empire is held in your hands sir, please..please... just give me one chance to promote my idea".

Hesitation, fear in this old man's voice, Clyde turned his head towards the old man's direction.

"Are you begging or demanding".

anger hidden in his words, the old man stumbled after feeling Clyde's aura.

"No sir I...I didn't mean to...I didn't mean to offend.."..."shhhhhh".

Clyde filled the room with silence , you could hear the old man's heart beat trying to jump out of his chest, the sweat dripping from his temple, Clyde got up from his chair making his way behind the old man, long strides until he stops behind the man, standing straight he puts his hand on the old man's shoulder, his hand shaking from the old man's fear....

"Relax, I understand what you're saying".

The old man calmed himself with a heavy breath, his body easing.

The pressure on the old man's shoulder was lifted when Clyde raised his hand, a snapping sound followed by a thump...the old man lying still on the floor...with a snapped neck.

"I understand, but I don't care mate".

Clyde standing leaning again his desk staring out of the high rise the tall buildings reflecting off of the sun, shinning through the city. The youngest man to build a business, the first to create a business empire. Built with his own hands, no friends nor family was in his life, he thrived in silence, being alone is where he found the most peace.

"Here's the files you requested..s...sir".

A woman's voice stuttered, fear entangling through her words.

"Put them on the desk, clean up the mess"

Clyde demanded without a glance towards the young woman. Hearing the door shut; Clyde glanced over at the pile of paper, picking up the first page, eyes wondering through all the words...

"Lance smith".Corner of Clyde's mouth lifts up as it forms into a smirk.

"old friend still has a debt he needs to repay", checking his watch he makes his way out of the door "wonder if he's still in that little shop".

(Current time)

"Hmmmm, I don't think that you're meant to be here little girl".

Edens breath hitched, she stayed bent down on her knees holding the broken vase in her hands, scared to move...to reply she stayed still, a chuckle escaped from Clyde's mouth.

"Scared little thing hmm"..."I didn't know Lance had a daughter".

Edens face scrunched up in confusion,'how did he know Lance?'.

"So where your daddy girl?" The last word coming off strong, patience running thin in his sentence.

"I'm..I'm not..he. He's not my dad".

Thoughts ran through Clyde's mind, looking at this small thing practically one with the floor, her long hair running down her back hiding her face, the street lights causing her light skin to glow...those high socks hugging her legs. His eyes darkened as his sight made his way up to her white silk dress...the outline of her body could be made out from the sheer material in the light, his hand twitched as he wanted to touch her skin.

"You didn't answer my question". Smirking after the harsh tone caused Eden to jump.

"He's no..he's not. He's no longer alive".
