You lay there silent and unbothered by the warmth beside you, a head turns, bright eyes low-lidded and staring at you expectantly. "Where is that I come from?" You shrug, raising a hand to loosely motion to the void around you and Ra hums, heaving themselves to sit upright and you notice, that the waters of chaos somewhat seem to steam around them. The god stares off into nothing, thinking of something else to ask. They turn and pause, to find you have hauled yourself into sitting straight, head turned away from them to an odd direction with a slight glare. "...Apep"
――――――
"Atum is less than pleased..." He sighs, headdress discarded on the cool waters the liquid veil blending seamlessly to it's surroundings. "He never is" Neith responds, hunched over as she runs her fingers over him, following the planes and divots of his form. Khnum shifts, turning from his side to lay flat on his stomach, winding an arm around the primordial woman's waist, the other limp against the still river, fingers playing with the loose fabric of her dress. He nuzzles his head into her lap and she smiles "Have you spoken to...?" She trails off, low-lidded eyes staring down at the pale man and he shrugs sluggishly "...Nu? I haven't, but I'm sure the wise one has informed them" his words muffled, slurring together in a mix of contempt huffs and sighs as he melts against her.
Neith nods, blinking slow before her head rises to stare out into the void around them "Promise me something...?" She starts off slowly, lukewarm fingers trailing up his spine and he squirms at the motion "anything..." He croons in a hushed tone "bless them" the man shifts, raising his head to perch his chin onto her clothed thigh, brows low as he lifts off her lap to properly meet her eyes and she offers a small smile "The new light?" Her head shakes, leaning in slightly and to her amusement; Khnum mirrors her. Their noses brush "Apep," she whispers and he scoffs in return, cold lips brushing over her temperless skin "When it's undoing comes so soon?"
His lips brush against hers and she nods again "I've grown find of them, Apep..." She adds the name, giggling to herself when he lets out a slow breath, slumping onto her. "What shall I bless them with?" The question leaves him gently, head turning to bury his face in the crook of her neck. The primordial hums as she leans back and plants her hands behind herself to support his weight "whatever you wish..." She coos, a smile gracing her lips when the water god makes an odd noise and wraps an arm around her to keep her from lean away any further. "That's so vague"
She huffs out a laugh, shoulders shaking as her head falls a back, the god sighs pressing his weight onto her and the primordial leans back, elbows hitting the motionless liquid under them.
"Shall I provide it with guidance? A blessing of deft hands with fingers that yield clay?" He throws out the suggestion with a deceptively light tone, lips curving up into a half smile and the woman giggles to herself, raising a hand to cradle his jaw. Easing herself back ad the other slots himself over her, he leans into the touch and lovingly the primordial snakes her free hand over his shoulders "you seem quite generous with such a request"
"Only because you seem so eager to ask it, how else could I refuse?"
――――――
A faint scrunch forms between your brows, legs hiking up as your knees fold up to your chest, switching position to sit up with your legs tucked under your weight, as you silently regard the figure far ahead. Ra looks to where to stare off into, expression just slightly wavering between confused and indifferent.
You've seen him at least twice you believe, the first being when Neith had paraded you around on her shoulder, maternal pride making her glow with a broad grin as she showed you to the one that reflects him, Nu...Nunut? Nunet? The name is lost on you. The second had been what you consider recently, whenever that could've been as he frowned down at Neith whilst she lounged, headdress and veil dissipated into the water below her, keeping you coiled up in her lap as he griped and whined over something, the ending of his era, her nonchalance being translated to disregard of his new found slowly coming mortality.
