Veiled Deception

In shadows deep, a web of lies is spun,
Betrayal whispers in the dark, a secret.
My so-called love, a mask of deceit,
His hidden identity is a bitter defeat.

Promises broken, trust shattered like glass,
His words like poison, a venomous mass.
I believed in his love, in his sweet embrace,
But now I see the truth, his hidden face.

The lies he told, the secrets he kept,
In the darkness of his heart, my love wept.
Betrayed and deceived, my heart torn apart,
By the one I trusted, who played the part.

But from the ashes of deceit, I rise,
Stronger, wiser, with open eyes.
No longer blinded by his false charm,
I break free from his web, unharmed.

I walk away from the lies and betrayal,
Embracing my truth, my strength unveiled.

No longer bound by his hidden identity,
I am free, I am me, in all my authenticity

"Veiled Deception" tells a story profound, of a love gone sour, of truths unbound.

A true cautionary tale of deceit and woe,
This is a reminder that not all that glitters is gold.
