After the not-so-great introduction of Caspian, he sits on the available table near me.

"As your replacement for Catherine, will you function as my assistant, or perhaps as my secretary, given that she serves as my secretary in her current role? Remind me of any meetings for our department and check the files before I check them." "Since you are now my acting secretary, you will be with me in the meeting and assist me throughout the meeting." Tumango siya bilang sagot.

At the meeting, I can still feel the tension between me and my parents, and as if Caspian felt it too, he did most of the reporting on behalf of the finance department manager.

"How unprofessional that even though the manager is here, he lets the new member of their department go? Mr.Yael what can you say about that?" The tension was high when my dad spoke. People from different departments could feel the tension building between the father and son.

"Mr. Windward, this is actually me trying to make sure everyone in my department knows how to report to the board in case I am not available, even if they are new members of the department," I said, emphasizing the word mister.

"Why will you be unavailable for future events? "He asks in as if mocking me for being lazy.

"I don't know, maybe I no longer work here? "I murmured, rolling my eyes.

"As previously stated, just in case we have no clue what might happen in the future, I want all of my members to be ready at all times," I said, purposely ignoring what he just said. He looked at me with such hatred.

"You'll be able to leave except Yael and Caspian," Mom said as he motioned for other employees to leave.

"What? Are you going to continue to scold me? If yes, please excuse me and my secretary. We have more important things to do than listen to your guys' lectures about how disrespectful I am," I said in a bored tone. "Or at least let Caspian go; he doesn't need to hear my loving and caring parents." I continued using the quoting motion on my hand in the word Loving and Caring, making them look more upset.

"Caspian, my dear, I'm guessing Amelia already told you about the deal between the Windward and Mintz families," Mom said, ignoring me completely, though she looked upset about my statement.

"Mom said that we would talk here after the meeting," he said in a low voice, making me look at him with a confused look.

"What deal? "I asked my parents, but they ignored me, so I looked at Caspian, who was looking at the floor, so I walked toward him, making him look at me forcefully.
