We enjoy the evening and act as if we are not the only descendants of our family's fortune.
"YAEL!!! "He shouts as I carry him like a sack of rice and run to our tent. He actually wants to rent two, but I insist on renting one, and he just agrees.
We end up a giggling mess once we enter our tent. We decided not to close the tent zipper for air to enter.
"Hindi pa natin nililigpit yung mga kalat sa labas," said Nya.
"Casspian, I am already drunk. Let's just clean tomorrow," I said, keeping him on the floor by hugging him. He didn't say anything and just let me hug him.
I took that chance and quickly used his soft arm as my pillow, burying my head in his chest.
"Stay," I said in repeat as I continued to hug him. The flashback of my parents fighting in that room clouded my mind.
"YOU ARE SUCH AN ASSHOLE. I TOLD YOU TO BE CAREFUL. WHAT DO YOU THINK THE PEOPLE WILL THINK ONCE THEY SAW YOU WITH THAT MISTRESS OF YOURS?"
"IT'S NOT MY FAULT THAT I HAVE TO TAKE YOUR SON OUT OF THAT STUPID SCHOOL THAT WE ALMOST GOT CAUGHT."
The voices slowly lessened as I heard Casspian whispering sweetly in my ear, asking me to wake up.
"El, wake up, darling; it's just a nightmare. Come back to me. You will be fine. It's just a nightmare. I'm here. Wake up," he said, his voice with a hint of panic but the calmness of his voice.
"Cass, it's not my fault, right? "I said, mumbling, and kept asking him if it's my fault and just crying.
He said sweet nothing to me as I cried like a baby to him.
"Are you okay now? "He said while slowly letting me go and kissing my forehead. I slowly nodded.
"I am better," I answered as I looked at him. His eyes were full of questions, but he never bothered to ask me anything.
"Let's go home na may mga gagawin pa ko para sa school at need kong bumalik sa company mo remember ikaw lang ang nag resign sating dalawa need parin ako don" saad nya bago lumayo sa akin at mag umpisa ng mag ayos ng gamit namin habang ako naman ay nag umpisa ng ayusin ang tent namin
Habang nagaayos di ko maiwan na hindi kabahan para kay Caspian knowing na kaya lang kahit papano maayos ang buhay niya sa company ay dahil sakin.
"Caspian, don't go to the company; I can handle our bills," I said on our way back.
"Yael, I can manage. I may look weak, but I can manage my emotions. I know they will not do anything to me, especially now that I am your fiance. Imagine being the fiance of the all-mighty heir of the Windward Empire," he said and held my hand that was placed on his thigh. I couldn't help but hold it a little tighter at the thought that they only care about him because he is my fiance, and if he is not, then he will be disrespected.
My thought was cut short when he held my hand tighter and gave me a soft but firm look.
"Look at me and promise me that you will trust me and will not do anything stupid," he said while still looking at me. I can't do anything but nod, as I know that I can't argue with him. I don't want to upset him. I don't want to upset someone who has become my comfort.
I still hate his decision, but I can't do anything about it.
"Cass, are you sure about your decision?"
"Yes, I am sure. Now let me go so that I can go to the company now," he said, trying to pull me out of my hug.
"I'll give you a ride," I said, and let him go to get my car keys as I heard him object.
